Where's that from?

Also, this is going to be a monumental clusterfuck  I know it's been said many times, but it's refreshing that it just keeps on proving to be true.

Been said before but it really is disgraceful that David Davies campaigned for Brexit but is utterly fucking clueless about how negotiations for it should progress

This thread basically confirms that the whole thing has been a disaster thus far.

this one is the biggie, as renton has been saying, and is why i think we'll have to stay in the single market and the customs union

If we do stay in the single market, how much money have we wasted on this lunacy just to save the blushes of the Tory party. In terms of what it's cost the country in total, we must be way into the billions by now.

You'd be tempted to say, if we do remain, that the Leave campaigners should be called into court for indirect responsibility for all of the falling living standards, deaths, poor health developments, etc - of all people who could have otherwise had these billions spent on them.

For all this bollocks about Labour being able to cost up what they're promising to deliver, what about all the money we could save by just stopping Brexit now?

It's more than just financial though isn't it? The country is utterly fractured from this. England vs. Scotland/NI, Metro cities vs. Shithole cities and rural, young vs. Old, educated vs. ignorant, etc. We've become a divided insular country. I'm literally ashamed of what we are doing. It'll take a long time to get over this, if we ever do.

The old dying off should put paid to it over time, so I reckon it'll run for a generation at most. Not saying you're wrong like, they've made a total mess of everything.

It's our standing in the world too. Soft power eroding. It'll take a while for us to fully feel that one, but we will.

Anyway I'm off to have a German sausage :naughty: before watching an evening of Icelandic and Finnish music at the Royal Festival Hall, what we built back when BRITUN was GRATE so I'd better be sure to appreciate it, sodomite metropolitan elite that I am. :boogie:

Not bothered about the soft power bit, although I agree it'll make our lives harder. Eventually we can be restored into the EU superstate and that problem goes away.

It's difficult to know whether he believes any of what he says or whether it’s just bluster to get himself into No.10. He’s again demanding the impossible.

There's a report doing the rounds that he was reciting a colonial era, quite inappropriate poem about Myanmar, while in Myanmar, on microphone, to a delegation of Myanmese. He had to be stopped by the ambassador.

The man is absolutely an old school racist, he believes in the natural supremacy of the UK. That delusion will feed his Brexit stance.
