And exactly why Labour needs to get a leader in who is still capable of talking to their core white working class voter. Without one, they're fucked.

They do seem to be struggling for candidates though.

Names being considered....

Yvette cooper: tainted by balls and angry woman.

Angela Eagle: really angry woman

Dan Jarvis: doesn't seem to fancy it.

Also needs to be someone who won't get covered in the chilcott shit that's about to drag labour through the mud.

I actually think the working class would vote for Corbyn. He didn't come out strongly against the EU, making it clear it needed reform andbdidjt work for many people, and is definitely closer to their interests than the new Labour sect.

Its the left wing middle class who can't vote for Corbyn, and whose views he doesn't represent.

I don't think he can take his message to the working class because The Sun will rip the piss out of him and that's, sadly, about all it takes

Can't see it myself like. No charisma and not media savvy and alas you need both if you are going to convince millions to come back to Labour from the conservatives, never mind UKIP.

I struggle to watch him these days. He starts off one way and then seems to go off at varying pace and tones and the message is lost.

something i agree with you about, finally. the lack of options is striking. i think andy burnham would do a better job at reaching out to the disenfranchised than corbyn is capable of.

plus he's not not cute enough to be pragmatic on issues like immigration.

Here's my latest take on it.

Whilst Labour are in turmoil and most other MP's are keen on watering down Brexit, Farage will pop up shouting foul and UKIP will clean up in Labour heartlands.

Farage now knows which areas are the strongest for leave and will stand ASAP.

Farage leader of the opposition. :(

No good sad smiley mate.

Regardless of what you personally believe, you still voted for the cunt.

The one thing that is clear from the referendum is immigration matters to working class voters. One of several reasons Corbyn is unelectable.

Agreed. I'd even go as far as saying he's not pragmatic enough about anything to be a political leader

Fair point I guess, although a depressing one, given that immigration isn't actually what's holding the working class back. Lack of spending on education and infrastructure is more relevant there.

I heard some of Corbyn's speech yesterday about investing in education within science and technology, and making the nation prosperous that way. That made sense to me. All of this is depressing as what he says actually makes a lot of sense, he just can't communicate it.

"Foreigners" (not sure which country), standing up at the EU saying nice things about the UK etc, Farage about to stand up and throw petrol on the fire.

Mi5 needs to find a little island somewhere.

The left caucus woman just now giving the EU parliament some hard truths.....Austerity, sovereignty loss, globalism etc...Ending by having a pop at Farage mind.

Some geezer just goes "Growth does not guarantee jobs".

he's not a leader. you can be as principled as you like, and like you i agree with a lot of his rhetoric, but winning an election is about reaching out to a broad church of people. you have to be pragmatic and make concessions. it balances out when you get in power if you're able to force through some of the more progressive stuff.

How un-self aware must Hunt be to be considering a leadership challenge btw? That is some unshakeable confidence. [emoji38]

Sky's news anchors just said, "and now over to our correspondent at Downing Street where Jeremy hunt is showing a bit of leg".

"I know virtually none of you have ever done a proper job in your lives". Farage endearing himself to EU

Absolutely smashed them. Almost daring them to take us on.

They can't do it. This lot are made of custard and absolutely shitting themselves and their 300,000 a year jobs.

Italy bailing out banks today, Deutsche Bank shares are down 80% in 10 years and the euro being supported by billions of QE a month.

Tear the fucking lot to shreds.

"It was not the responsibility of those who wanted to remain in the EU to explain what plan we would follow if we voted to quit the EU."

The words of our Chancellor. Is he for fucking real?
