At the very least, he would have made an effort and would have put some passion into the Remain camp. I think he understands the issues of the drift by working class (for a better word) towards Brexit too, much more so than Brown or Blair. I think Brexit has come about from a perfect storm of circumstances. A bit butterfly effect, but for instance if the right Miliband had been elected, I honestly can't see the conservatives having got a majority, in fact they may have been able to form a minority coalition. Then there would have been no referendum. Edited June 18, 2016 by Renton

It'll be interesting to see what happens in the event of Brexit to say the least....even if it's a narrow "stay" vote, it may not be beyond the realms of possibility that the likes of Bradshaw, Creasy and Kinnock jnr etc will in a strange way be galvanised by the horrific events of of Thursday and in some way "save" what reimains of a pro Europe Labour... Sorry, you bought up this so called irrational hatred, when I was in fact perfectly rational and measured. If you can, why don't you link me to a post where I have showed genuine hatred towards Corbyn (not to be mistaken with disapproval BTW). Of course, iirc you have called me a racist recently anyway. You probably lack the awareness to realise that in itself is canny crass and offensive.

That's even crassererer. What a sanctimonious dick you can be btw I've certainly never made it a secret I predicted Corbyn would be a disaster for the labour party, and I stand by that. I also don't respect him as a leader because he is an intellectual featherweight and made a career out of back bench contrariness which would make CT proud. But hate him? Naah. I don't think I've ever said that, as you well know.

Renton 21614
Latest Nursing Times poll shows more support for leave than remain. That's really surprising, although I'd question the methodology and the 2% is well within the margin of error. Still, I'd have thought it be 2 or 3 to 1 in support of remain. I personally don't know of anyone in medicine or medical research who aren't ardently remain.

Renton 21614
Will we see shy leavers follow the shy Tories that skewed the polls in the GE?Shy leavers? They're shouting it from the roof tops outside metropolitan London, and proud of it. If any of them are shy, it'll be a massacre against remain. Think CT has got a point though. I'm hoping that, when it comes to it, people will take a rational view in their own self interests. Leave is a complete step into the unknown. Project fear, as CT puts it, is the independent view of virtually every expert out there. When push comes to shove, I'm hoping the undecided think it's not worth the risk. Because it clearly isn't.
