For a 22 year old defender with probably 14 years of playing ahead of him, he's a definite talent that we're lucky to have. If you could name some better suited 22 year olds I'm all ears. He is talented, I never said he wasn't. Just think that he's not particularly well suited to playing fullback in a side who are put under a lot of pressure in a fast and physical league. I don't think those elements of his game will change too much over a short period of time, which is probably all he will have in this league. Santon is excellent on the ball and gets into some very good positions, and having them both down one side would make a very pacey and defensively solid wing for us. He’s got an ongoing issue with it, but it’s not too serious, so we will see what he’s like tomorrow" So we're continually playing a guy with a knee issue serious enough to get stretchered off, and we loaned out our remaining (proper) LB cover in Santon for no clear reason. Dummett can play there admittedly, but I saw him as cover (despite being better than Williamson) at CB as well.
