Pardew isn't going to resign - Mike isn't going to sack him.

As a third point - we aren't going to get anyone better.

''So you've got a tiny squad, no money & you'll be earning less than Nile Ranger, fancy it?''

And everyone's waiting on the salvation army of Cabaye and Ben Arfa? I doubt it's going to change that much, imho.

We will at least have someone who can pass the ball and create something.

However, we need players up front who can move to do that. Strola doesnt like doing that.

Pardew should resign though, losing everything and still sticking around like its last year is not normal.... Our squad must be mindfucked.

He's responsible for a lot - how could he not be - but the board can't tie his hands round his back and then sack him.

If we had an acceptable squad from the start of the season we wouldn't be in this mess.

The board doesnt care about the club the least bit. probably havent watched the last 20 games or so. pardew is probably just staying because nobody is around to tell him otherwise. Also the players here have nothing to prove other than to the clubs being interested in getting them out of this shithole.

I'm sorry, as much as they appear negligent this is a load of bollocks.

It's simply they thought they can get by on the squad we had. We need to get through this season then learn from the mistakes and deepen the squad. Which in all fairness to the board, they seem to do.

Shame they react as oppose to proact

We should have a much better team out for Norwich....

Krul

Debuchy Taylor Coloccini Santon

Anita Bigi

Obertan Cabaye Marveaux

Cisse

Unfortunately though, Norwich are playing well, Cabaye and Taylor wont be match fit, Debuchy will be finding his feet and in normal circumstances Santon could do with a rest.

Could be a very tough game.

It'll be even harder is Jonah starts the match thread.

To be slightly serious, people on here saying he should resign should ask themselves if they would walk away from a £1m pay-off. If they think the owner should sack him, fair enough, but it's ridiculous expecting Pardew to resign. And I dread to think who would come in as his replacement. The last three managers have been JFK, Hughton and Pardew. And Kinnear was on the biggest salary out of them lot. That's the pool we'd be fishing in.

Exactly KNOWLEDGEABLE football posters like Christmas Tree can't name even one replacement. Never mind one that would meet the criteria - just can't name a manager who he would select to replace Pardew.

1. Tiny squad.

2. Low Budget.

3. Low Salary.

4. Reasonably High Profile.

Pardew isn't going to walk away from £1m and I doubt Ashley wants to spend that much on sacking a manager.

I would only want him gone if it was an upgrade, not a caretaker etc and certainly not a back of a fag packet job. Happy for Pardew to have the same money but a resignation would save the club the circus aspect.

I appreciate that Ashley watches the pennies, however Im sure he would pay a decent wage for the right person. Finding that right person though is no mean task and Im not even sure where most clubs begin. Its usually a case of appoint one of the merry go round boys, (Hughes, Bruce Oneill etc), a young up and coming wanabee or a foreign gamble.

I would much rather continue with Pardew than a caretaker or a mistake, but I would also like to think that in the same way Ashley used Graham Carr to sort the Cabayes to replace the Nolans, he can also find a similar person to replace Pardew.

The next manager of Newcastle United is already out there, its just a case of timing now.

Tom, at times you are so full of shit its funny.

£1m pay off compared to the loss of massive TV money (up something like £25 mill next season) is nowt.

And there will be shitloads of managers who

A. Want to manage in the premiership.

B. Would love to manage a great club like Newcastle.

C. Would yearn for the chance to work with players like our first team can put out.

Give yourself a slap.

(And before you go into old woman mood, NO I have no idea WHO that person will be, BUT I do KNOW that he is out there somewhere :) (unless you think Pardew is going to be our Alex Ferguson).

See the last three managers I mentioned. Look at the coaching staff. It's pretty inexperience and lightweight to say the least. Also safe to say they're not on a lot wages-wise. What makes you think he's prepared to pay the going rate to get an upgrade? It's pie in the sky stuff tbh. The club's run on a shoestring in management / coaching terms. Graham Carr's not on a lot either. In fact if you look at him, Stone and Carver, I would guess they're reasonably happy to be working for their home town club and living in the area which makes up for the wage a bit. I also don't think, Carr apart, they'd get a job in the Premier League for another club anyway.

Again a decent wage is half the story - what about a decent transfer budget and a decent wage budget for the team?

(before you start name calling CT - take into account the fact that Pardew earns less than Nile Ranger)

I agree completely, there are an awful lot of managers who meet that criteria. However, the shortage is with the managers who:

D. Will work for relative peanuts.

E. Accept a restrictive transfer policy.

F. Will do a better job than Pardew.
