Most people I know who have live there hate the place, but London as a tourist takes some beating, particularly if the weathers good.

On my last visit we took advantage of the bike hire locations and ride around London (Sunday morning).

Magical experience riding along one minute then turning a corner and having something like St Paul's come into view.

I think it also helps if you were brought up in a time before globe hopping was so available when London was really the big I am. It's where the Queen lives!

Mine are all pretty obvious: NY, Berlin, San Fran, Amsterdam, Rome, Hong Kong, Marakech, Paris, Capetown, Rio, LA.

Agree with Fish about London too. Most people that moan about it bring too unfriendly and overcrowded haven't seen past the west end - a place most Londoners avoid for most of the year.

I love living in London. Can't imagine living anywhere else in the country now having been here for 13 years.

I think the world's greatest city is London for so many reasons, but I it when I work there, amazing place to spend free time in though. It's been my second home for 20 years, know it like the back of my hand and granted I've never been to Rome but I doubt anywhere can match Central London for grandeur and proper history. I hate Paris been twice, don't like it at all.

My favourite international city I've visited would be Bangkok. It's just FULL of contradictions, full of life, Phatpong has to be seen to be believed, as do the vast Hindu temples, people living in the river on floating hooses (thoosands of them), the sky train, everything it's just a mental place but I don't know how anyone could get bored there. At times part of it feel like you're in New York, go to another part and you feel you're in the most primitive Asian city there is.

Capetown is a beautiful city, though I'd never want to live there knocking it out of the favourites list. Weather in London knocks it out, though I really enjoyed it - it was the first city in Europe that I visited.

I'm not sure why so many have included Vegas. I guess there's lots going in there but there's nonsense of history - a bunch or massive casinos in the middle of a desert. I'm not a gambler though so perhaps that's part of it - that said it's fantastic for affordably priced lavish accommodation.

"Phatpong" Anyone else think of a poster then?
