Indeed.

We calling for a new manager yet, or is this just the time we've allotted for championing fringe wingers? I do so enjoy the random throwing of CT's considerable girth behind a reserve player. It makes him seem so in the know. I mean sure none of his predictions come to fruition, but its the gusto that matters, right?

Let's not go too attacking though. ;)

#football manager has a lot to answer for.

The Football Manager thing you keep on bringing up holds no value whatsoever. Has Fish ever come out and said because he plays Football Manager that he knows more about the game than others?

Especially somebody like yourself who admits he doesn't watch football other than Newcastle United.

A. It's Alex and we know what he's like.

B. it's Pardew who pushed a linesman.

Load of shite about nowt but all this moaning makes us look like sour losers you big jessy.

What have I posted that makes you think I care what he thinks of us?

Am not moaning about his comments about us,I really couldnt give a fuck about anyones opinions about the size of NUFC, mainly because as you've pointed out they are usually made to wind us up.

I'm more concerend about one of the most blatant cases of cheating the English game has seen in modern times which will go completley un punished. This isnt a player diving which the ref only sees for a milli second, and its not the (very sadly) completley legal practice of "financial doping" i.e. Chelsea, man city,PSG etc. This was very public, and there are rules against it which the FA seem incapable of using, possibly because of collusion with the man himself, which is the only logical explanation I can come up with for this, that he got at Dean after the game too. So if I'm wound up its not because he's taking the piss out of NUFC, but that does show him in a very particular light; complelty denigrating the club of the manager he "would put no other an inch above" as he said when Sir Bobby died....it takes a special sort of erm "winner" to sully his fine words at that time just so he can deflect attention away from the issues surrounding the game the other day.

"love the game more than the prize, because without the game, there is no prize"

Thats from Sir Bob's biography, Ferguson could learn a lot from him.

As it was going on I said to a pal that it's time to start docking points for it because ultimately that's why Fergie does it - to get the 3 points. Pissy fines and tickings off are a joke to him, but to learn that he isn't even ganna get that is such a kick in the bollocks. If I was another manager I'd be telling the FA to stick their 'Respect' campaign up their arse.

If we get past Brighton we could get manu in the cup....

You'll notice that no one is now talking about rvp twatting Colo in the face just before he scored, or Valencia's career threatning challenge on Anita, both unpunished, or Mike Dean failing to mention the on pitch intimidation of 3 different match officials by a team manager in his match report.

Its the oldest trick in the book. Deflect criticism away from the team and manager by saying something utterly ridiculous. Ferguson has acheived a lot in football but every single one of those acheivements are tarnished by him seeking to gain an advantage over the opposistion by intimidating officials. This is partly true to one extent or another for all the trophies he's won so he's basically in part won them through bullying and cheating, yet he demands respect for this record, partly acheived by cheating. The thing is respect has to be earned, its not the right of the biggest bully in the playground to get it automatically, because if he doesn't he may make your life a misery. He doesn't get any respect from the vast majority of supporters ultimately because we fuckin well know for a fact he has zero respect the game he claims to love.

The FA are supposed to be the guardians of the game, but they have singularly completley bottled taking him on over this. They have allowed him and indeed the great manu cash generating machine to become untouchable. Its a pitiful state of affairs.

Paddock Lad has hit the nail on the head, imo.

Prior to Ferguson managers let their team do the talking on the pitch. They showed respect to each other in general. Of course there were occasional spats between managers, teams, players but I don't remember any manager continually trying to get the edge before a match by talking about the officials or the other team's players.

He has had this power over football for decades now and only when he retires will we start to see a level playing field. Everyone, the FA, referees, journos, and other managers to a lesser extent, are frightened to upset him.

The FA have always seen Man U as a cash cow for English football, and surely appointing David Gill as vice chairman of the FA board created a conflict of interests. The refs know that if they upset the man they will not ref at OT for a long while, and the journos know they'll be banned from OT if they write anything derogatory.

Prior to Howard Webb being the Man U 12th man it was Mike Riley, who now appoints the refs for all PL games.

This article shows some interesting facts, despite it being a bit flawed because it doesn't show comparisons with other PL teams.

You can buy the title but you can't buy class.

I would love to know what SBR would have made of his 'friend' disrespecting the club and supporters he loved.

We all know Ferguson plays mind games but it is usually the manager he comments on, this time he has attacked the club that ordinary people love.

If he has any decency whatsoever he'll apologise for the slur on the club. I think he's so far up his own backside that he won't though.

It is impossible to teach respect from the grass roots when those at the top behave so badly.

SBR is in a different class to that rat as a person. Even someone like Pacinofan would agree. Ferguson stood at his funeral saying Newcastle were one of the biggest clubs in English football, with supporters of rivalled loyalty in an area of massive footballing pedigree over the last 100 years illustrated by the fact two of their greatest ever players were from the N.E. Now he comes out with this, what a cunt. I really think he has lost it. We're not as big as Man Utd, but we've never claimed to be, all he's ensured in my view is an away defeat the next time he comes to SJP, or perhaps he's said it because he's never coming back here?

Hope he does come back. I would purposely buy a ticket away from my seat to go and sit near the away dugout and just hurl facts at him about how much of a hypocrite and idiot he is. The man will go down as "Greatest Manager ever" and the FA will call for a minutes silence when he pops his clogs, I won't be shouting during it but I will just got to the bog and imagine its his face I am pissing on. The cretin.

Fergie's one of the good guys, actually. Not only does he find time during a busy 98 minute match at Old Trafford to give friendly advice to Refs and linesman in front of seventy thousand fans who pay no attention to his chats with officials, he also finds time to ring every manager in the PL and football league and offers them their pick of any of his squad outside the first eleven and helps them out with their tactics for their upcoming games. After that he personally calls round to the houses of every out of work football manager in the UK and Ireland and helps them write out CV's and job applications and does mock job interviews with them to improve their interview techniques. when all of that is out of the way he gives the media in depth interviews and makes a point of giving extra time to those journalists who've been a bit critical just to show there's no hard feelings. Just before dusk he'll drive around the rougher districts of the North West and stop the car and offer various street urchins a five year apprenticeship at Old Trafford where he'll personally hone heir skills and set their families up for life whilst hiring a top educational tutor to help them learn how to read and write. Whatta Guy!
