Heartbreaking!

And to make it worse Blunderland won and moved above us.

Not a game I had any expectations of winning but for periods of time hopes were high and it was more than disappointing that we couldn't have hung on for at least a draw, we deserved it after that performence. So close and yet so far.

Carried away? Did you not see the game? We went at them without fear despite having our squad out and being 15th in the table. Cant think of a single other side in this league that would have done that. We would have gotten them too if not for a bit of luck.

I dont know what people want from their football teams. But I'll have that everyday of the week. We've criticized the team a lot this season, I have too. So Im not going to sit back and get carried away thank you very much when they put in a gutsy performance like that.

:nufc:

As you might gather from the match thread I take nothing away from the team. You did say however credit to pardew for putting out a gutsy team. He didnt, it was forced on him is the only point I was making. :)

Let's not get carried away. Pards has played Bigi because Tiote is suspended and Marveaux because (according to the local journos), Jonas is injured.

Excellent performance but we should have been doing this 4 months ago.

you complete fucking cunt

Bloody brilliant performance from the lads today and that's all I give a shit about right now. Turning point in the season surely.

I want to think so too but the fact we got nothing from the game is hard to take, especially looking at the shots on target and possession we had. In a way i think we alread have turned the corner a little bit, i was pleased to read about a bit of falling out between players and managers, its a key dynamic in team development and i think we are beginning to see Pardew has got to grips with the motivational / performance issues. The results will come if we can re-integrate the better quality players and keep the intensity and concentration we are starting to see again.

Positives -

Too many to mention. Cisse took his goal like the world class striker he is. Marveaux showed why we would be mad to part ex him. Obertan continues to show promise. Coloccini is the best defender I've seen at the club etc. etc.

Negatives -

Simpson. Fuck me gently. Plays further up the pitch than out strikers, inevitably loses the ball and leaves a fuck off huge gap at RB for opposing teams to attack into. That shot at the end too.

Sammy, that one shot aside, seemed to be strolling around the pitch like his brother when he came on. Was a very strange choice to bring him on

Anita. Possible broken ankle and not even a yellow card. Disgraceful

Fergie. F'd and blinded at the ref/linesman/4th official for a full 45 minutes and fuck all was said to him. SHould have been sent to the stands about 10 times. I hate the horrible cunt

We should have at least got a draw. RVP smashing Colo in the face 10 seconds before scoring thier third ffs.

Colo embarrassed himself with the way he carried on there, on replay there wasn't much in it. If he had carried on defending highly unlikely that they would have scored IMO. Can't be fun getting one across the schnoz, but if you don't get the call you need to keep playing.

Defensively in the second half we lost our shape.

We can absolutely walk away with our heads high after that. Players and manager. Hopefully take that confidence in to next games, especially players like Cisse. Damn shame about Anita though who has been getting better every game.

 CT happier losing 4-3 than winning 1-0. Never been giddier this season.

"OMG OMG OMG THE ENTERTAINERS ARE BACK!"

If he had been there he'd have been grinning inanely at the sullen faces around him, nodding and calling "Good game, eh?"

Pissed off we got nowt, but pleased with the performances and unsurprised that the knives are out as usual.
