Craig 6700
Low wage Decent standard Easy route for shady nationalities (Desailly etc.) Excellent dental hygiene Appreciation of the art of sarcasm Probably forms the basis of the best parts of our scouting network too. BigWalrus 0
I'd be chuffed if we bagged Remy - he's a class act. Instinctive, good finisher and technically gifted.

PaddockLad 17664
there's 2 clubs in for him, both in the bottom half dozen..hes going to the one who offers the most money....if thats accurate it doesnt say a lot about either his ability or his attitude...remember he can't get in a pretty mediocre Marseille team as we speak..or his agents trying to extort more money out of Ashley...which would be funny as fuck if we weren't 5th bottom.... Think they'll be on the phone to Shefki's agent on Monday morning...
OTF 7492
Given our vast expanse of French players (a number of whom are in the full French national side) you would have to give an advantage from the off to him coming to us. Also, if he watches any of the games of both clubs, he would see that despite our very many shortcomings at this moment in time we are vastly ahead of QPR who look extremely likely to be relegated. It would however be typical of Redknapp to ball-ache about how many of his players are on grossly inflated wages and then bring in a player 'of his own' on grossly inflated wages. There's also a lot to be said for players actually wanting to come to Newcastle, if he doesn't want to come then I don't want to have him - of course this is all just media speculation at the minute time will tell the story. Basically if he decides he wants to go to QPR I won't be bothered at all because a move like that tells me that he isn't the player for us. Edit: And finally you could draw similarities between him and Djibril Cisse in that they're both reknowned for their pace and power. Christmas Tree 4839
A NEWCASTLE United delegation headed by Derek Llambias is in France attempting to strike deals for a defender and a striker. But their chase of Loïc Rémy, Marseille’s France international striker, has become complicated – and the club now fear Harry Redknapp’s QPR have emerged as serious rivals for his signature. Redknapp is set to meet Marseille officials over the weekend and the presence of several agents has muddied the water for United, who will not become embroiled in a bidding war with other targets on the back burner. Agent Willy McKay is understood to be working on behalf of Marseille, which makes things more difficult for the Magpies and may tip in the balance of struggling QPR, who are less cash-conscious than Newcastle. But the latter have at least two other high-profile targets to fill the void left by Demba Ba, both based in France. The purpose of the trip this weekend is to try and step up efforts to recruit first-team players and to strengthen the ranks of the development squad. Money has been set aside to do both in January, and Newcastle hope to add more than just Mathieu Debuchy to their ranks this month. Monroe Transfer 0
Aubameyang instead then please. Younger, might be cheaper, better form this season. QPR are a joke either way. Hope they go down. All they can offer is a willingness to offer silly wages. They're in trouble when they go down because of this, surely. Then again Aubameyang seems a bit money-motivated too... he once trained in these (£2.5k crystal-encrusted boots):
Brock Manson 0
I think we've learned from the Ba situation that signing a player who has several 'advisors' working on his behalf is unwise when looking to build a team for the long term. Monroe Transfer 0
Yup. QPR seem happy to throw money around and hope something sticks. In terms of forwards, they've got: Johnson, Zamora, Cisse, Hoilett, Taarabt, Campbell, Mackie and Bothroyd. Out of that lot I imagine only Mackie and maybe DJ Campbell are on a fair wage. Made Cisse look like the worlds best offside judge and his touch was appalling. Obviously anyone can have a bad game but he didn't look close to premiership quality on that occasion.
