Danny tweeted: "Fort the lads played there hearts out today.. Really fort we was gona get sumfin out of it n the fans were cheerin us right on til the end"

Seems like a bright lad...meh...sounds like he can't even gather enough to write something properly.

I've never rated SImpson. He's a shit footballer and a less than competent defender. He's basically an athlete and that's about it.

Bang on.

His first touch is a massive giveaway that he’s not a proper footballer. I remember a moment in the first half on Saturday. I think it was either Jonas or Anita who was in an advanced position. Simpson was in acres of space, roughly in line with the edge of their box, near the touchline. All he needed to do was take the pace off the ball and whip a ball into the box. Instead, his first touch was straight to their full back and they counter-attacked. He’s the master of turning attack into defence.

Can't mark, cant cross and can't beat a man. He's reasonable in the tackle and he's better than Santon at clearing the ball of the line but that's about all you can say about him. He shouldn't be a starter for us but we decided not to replace him in the summer. We're now paying for that decision along with the one not to sign a centerback!

He decided to position himself so he couldn't track the overlapping player. If he'd wanted to he could have left a bit indecision in the players mind who had the ball.He reminds me a bit like Jenas. He can be neat on the ball but then does nowt with it.I don't know whether they were told to do it but both he and Santon were tucking in,leaving the City forwards the time and space to get around the back.,receive the ball, and square it into the danger area. The Citeh forwards seemed to stroll around throughout the game and still find acres of space.

I've said it before but he is no more than a moving cone. Positionally I have to say i think he's sound (despite the headless chicken act for Saturdays 3rd goal conceded), he looks to close down the angles and is quite effective at it a lot of the time and does just enough without commiting to any dick head lunges. Just when it comes to actually taking the ball off someone or beating a man with it or putting a cross in, his limited ability on the ball becomes all too apparent.

Getting the impression Ranger now idolises him.

leave the mother of your child for a whore, write tweets like your brain just vaporized, and generally play football like you had your first game yesterday, bada bing badaboom - ranger idolization.

Lad at work saw Tulisa and Simpson out on Saturday night. He tried to get into their taxi and the driver told him he couldn't cos he'd been booked for Tulisa. So he stood next to the taxi and gave them the one man paparazzi treatment with his phone camera. They didn't like it much.
