ajax_andy 0
Hated Kula Shaker purely because we used to sing 'thrush thrush I thought I saw you ithcing your muff' all the time and it kind of meant I could never take the band seriously even though they weren't the real lyrics

I still love Second Coming, yet their debut was better I really do still enjoy the different way Second Coming went. Seemed to me more influenced by Squires whereas Brown was more the first one. Monkeys Fist 42481
In no particular order. The Sundays - Reading, Writing, Arithmetic Chemical Brothers - Dig Your own hole Happy Mondays - Pills & Thrills Primal Scream - Screamadelica Leftfield - Leftism KLF - Chill Out Underworld - Dub no bass Portishead - Dummy Massive Attack - Blue Lines Daft Punk - Daft Punk Chill Out! I spent the first half of the 90s living in a tent in the Ardeche, Chill Out was an ever present on my boom box In fact most of that list would be on my list .... with Moon Safari, The Stone Roses ( 1989, I know !) Northern Soul and Urban Hymns, Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld. I was also listening to a lot of Zappa , John Martyn, Miles Davis too though. Ah, French smoke was superb

Ayatollah Hermione 13894
Anyone said Grace yet? To a lesser extent, Sketches for my Sweetheart too. The second one especially shows an inkling of where Buckley was going to go. I love those early Suede albums too, the guitar work is different class
Ayatollah Hermione 13894
REM - Automatic For The People Definitely. Shame the follow-up is poor.

McFaul 35
Two yank bands there Stevie - careful now. Oops forgot Moby - three. Moby was heavily entwined in British music, stuff like Go and Every Time You Touch Me (which reminds me of being in Circus Circus at 15 and 16 so much), I'd heard nowt like it to that point, he's proper versatile as well. REM and that particular album are just mint.
McFaul 35
I also like Soundgarten's album with Black Hole Sun on, I forget what it's called had it years ago it was a belta. Music turned desperate in 2000s imo, even dance music turned shite about 2002 generally.

NJS 4389
The Smashing Pumpkins: Adore (very underrated) On a related note I read that Mellon Collie was the biggest selling double album of the decade which is impressive when you realise that includes Jacksons Bad. David Kelly 1245
Mellon Collie is awesome like. Should have included it myself but I just like Siamese Dream to listen to all the way through more.

I presume you mean Homework for Daft Punk. Couldn't wait for that album after some of the remixes they had been doing beforehand. Preferred Exit Planet Dust to Dig Your Own Hole though. Chris Cornell did a solo acoustic tour last year singing some songs off the album. He's got an awesome voice

Some class albums of all kinds of stuff have come out in the last 10 or so years, there's just tons and tons of shit that dilutes it all down these days.
