BigWalrus 0
I'd rather see a completely revised England side full of young potential, and write off the next tournament in aid of building something rather than relying on the usual suspects of Terry, Lampard, Ferdinand, Gerrard, Rooney, Cole et al. Fully agree. The WC shouldn't be used as a swansong for aging English players who've never quite delivered on the international scene. ewerk 31195
You say that as if those players are keeping down a bright new golden generation of English talent. You can blood youth but if they're not good enough then they're not good enough, look at some of the players who've recently received their first call up, many of them simply aren't international standard (Forster aside of course). trophyshy 7084
He deserves it, but I'm not sure the international stage is ready for his massive head and sideways dancing.
David Kelly 1260
Fuckers bound to get injured now! I'm still not convinced he deserves it btw. He put in a performance against Anzi that any defender in the world would have been happy with but he was fucking dreadful for Southampton's first goal the other week. Still good to see one of our own in the England squad.
Meenzer 15716
Going by Twitter, I think it's fair to say the Mackems aren't best pleased by this development.
essembeeofsunderland 811
Taylor to me is an old type centre half and i think you need a bit more in your locker to be an internatioinal defender aginst the best.Montenegro and San Marino are not the best europe has to offer so good luck to the lad.AND DON'T GET INJURED !! Dr Gloom 22142
Well deserved call up. He's been one of our best players in some recent games and its not like England have many better players in that position available for selection right now. Bet he pops his shoulder out again or something while training with that lot

scoobos 298
Brilliant news, he totally deserves it. I'd be delighted if his injuries are behind him too, he's looked brilliant these past few games.
essembeeofsunderland 811
I'm glad he's been called up and i'm glad his call-up has upset the makems so well done Woy. If he wins a cap,and doesn't score,he will then have scored the same amount as ratboy did,but in 7 games less.

Monroe Transfer 0
Don't care about England at all but it's pleasing to see one of our lot getting a call up. Imagine this means the world to him. England U21 captain for ages wasn't he?

Rayvin 5294
I really hope he does, as much as I am disinterested in England, he's such an honest lad that I want him to do well. Who knows, he might rub off on some of the others...

What is the fuckin point of calling him up if you're to humiliate the bloke by doing this?
Kid Dynamite 7168
I'd imagine Lescott and Smalling will get the nod. San Marino's population is smaller than Whitley Bays to put Ito perspective how many talented footballers they have to call upon

What is the fuckin point of calling him up if you're to humiliate the bloke by doing this? Eh? I think that San Marino wont get out of their half so playing a midfielder with a bit of creativity in defence makes sense to me. Its a double bill as well so we play on Tuesday too.
