James Milner

Anyone else get to watch the Hull v Villa game earlier today?

Milner was above and beyond the best player on the pitch for them - never stopped running and make chances everywhere.

Funny thing is, it was performances like this for Leeds which made me pleased we signed him but he never seemed to repeat it for us. I'm now convinced that it's down to the shite coaching techniques in place at the club and that, with a new manager, he'd be a revolation..

I just pray to god that if we do get rid of Souness anytime soon, someone at the club somehow manages to persuade Milner that his best interests are back at SJP...

We should put a bomb under Souness' car. Send him into Sunderland city centre, to meet George Weah's nephew's rabbit's mam.

Will you sit in the passenger seat just to make sure he gets there?

No, anymore comments like that I'll send him to fucking Scotland.

I'm still not convinced by Milner I'm afraid. I hope he comes back a much better player, but he was only playing against Hull City yesterday - I'm sure he'd look twice the player in the Championship that he does in the Premiership.

I think he does look a good player at Villa like, but I have lost any confidence in us getting the best out of players. I don't think Souness has been able to get the best out of any of his signings yet, or anywhere near that for that matter.

I am neither. But I think there is some potential and it's good that he gets the chance to get match practice at Premiership level to develop it ... instead of rotting on the bench at Newcastle. It's probably also good that he avoids the coaching at Newcastle.

I can see Barry moving in the near future, he's at a club thats going nowhere really, if he was to move it would to be someone with abit of ambition and a club that could be going places, not Newcastle United.

Yep, agree with that. One thing is certain, and that's that Newcastle is the last place any young, budding talent wants to find itself. We are a graveyard for it.
