NYD 0
I'm usually very confident about this game home and away no matter how shit we're playing but have a bad feeling about it this time for some reason. I had similar feelings the day before we stuffed them 5-1.
essembeeofsunderland 811
The game is a sell-out which means the makems think they are going to win.I wonder whether Marty has a song selected, just in case they do.Last season Colback should have been playing for England and McClean was better than Messi. Now they want both dropped. In fact, some clown posted ......McClean or Messi ? It took half as dozen replies before someone suggested how ludicrous the question/comparison was.
2bias 3
We need a bit of a response after the last couple league games. I think we will win and win well.
sniffer 0
To me, if Colo plays we'll be fine. If not, it could well be a long afternoon.

David Kelly 1260
Fuck me, can't we keep anyone fit! If we were playing a decent team in any other match I'd say how much we need Colo, Taylor and Krul back (and obviously the make us far stronger) but the truth of the matter is these things aren't necessarily won by your best players just who's up for it on the day. GeordieMark 0
If we have a full strength side out, we should win. Should. But you know how it is in a derby, some players may go into hiding and not fancy it. Cisse didn't do much in the last one, granted it was his first, but this is his first away one. Might be wise to stick Shola in.
PaddockLad 17643
Other end of the Stadium of copyright infringement?..... Bookings for the club's bus transport to and from the mackem away game can now be made in person at the SJP box office and by phone (0844 372 1892). Note that there's no online purchase option for bus tickets. Note that NUFC are charging £5 per seat this season (no booking fee). The mackems have made it known that their buses to and from SJP in April will remain free of charge. Just to confirm that Newcastle fans will now be housed in the upper sections of the North Stand - the opposite end of the ground to the one we've occupied previously. However, those traveling by Metro will continue to arrive and depart from St.Peters station. A limited number of extra services have been added to the timetable (times tbc) but with less supporters expected to use the buses, expect delays and overcrowding on the Metro/trains. A police escort from St.Peters to the North Stand will be provided and the planned route will see fans walk across a cordoned off section the main car park (between the river and West Stand) to gain access to the turnstiles. Anyone using their own transport should be aware that they'll be unable to access the away turnstiles if they approach from the east side of the ground. Anecdotal evidence from Liverpool and Wigan's visits to the dark place this season suggests that the North Stand has inferior access and movement compared to the other end of the ground. On the basis that this is the first derby with these new arrangements, it may be worth foregoing that extra pint and going earlier or even biting the bullet and taking the bus to avoid the inevitable teething troubles. The Fish 10963
There were two pieces of positive injury news for Pardew too, however - defenders Fabricio Coloccini and Steven Taylor should both be fit for the derby trip to Sunderland next Sunday. Krul Simpson Taylor Colo Santon Tiote Cabaye Jonas HBA BA Cisse HBA given license to roam when on the ball, but expected to roam predominantly from the right hand side. Jonas will be expected to do a lot of sweeping up, covering for Santon and Cabaye, the latter should be given a more attacking role. It'd be great to get at them early doors and shut the crowd up, but I expect a nervy game to be honest.
Kid Dynamite 7169
You've been playing too much champ man! Narrowest formation in the world. Simpson would get slaughtered and Santon would get caught out of position every 5 minutes

McFaul 35
Anyone a member of RTG? Banned. Sima off here is on there. The nearer it gets to the game the more I think we'll put our best show of the season on. Since 1981 P28 W12 D12 L4 - that is a fucking utterly woeful record, it's psychological for the mackems now, they know they're inferior, the club, the side, the supporters everything. That record has to weigh heavily on their shoulders, whereas we expect to win.
Ayatollah Hermione 14047
I'm trying not to think about it like but the Dembas are fresh from getting dropped out the ACN so hopefully they're up for it in the right way. If we set up 4-3-3 with Colo, Taylor and Krul back, I'll be a lot calmer

Christmas Tree 4821
But you thought we would beat man u 5-0? I said we would win 5-0 if put the right team out. He bottled it. Think he will bottle it again against the mackems. Cant really believe any one would argue any more tbh. Cisse or Jonas need dropping to make either formation work (As it did against Bordeaux). Pardews cowardly continuation of trying to appease everyone is disastrous.

McFaul 35
I'm always confident when we play Sunderland, with good reason too. A defeat to them is a rare event. When we lost those two games 1-2, it felt surreal like it wasn't supposed to happen, how could we lose to them. Whereas a defeat to us for them is just normal, like changing your y fronts or going to Tesco for Cumberland Sausage. It is as well, I'm sure a good few of them will be amazed if they win. It's not even anything to do with current sides, even though we win there too. This is a pivotal game I feel we'll win handsomely, we've played well once this season and that was against Bordeaux, and it really is time to give the fans something to cheer about. Forgetting about the mackems, we DESPERATELY need a result. The murderers have had a shocking start to the season, yet a toon defeat and WP win could see us level with them on Monday night. Games imo are 70% of the time decided in the first 10 minutes, the pattern of the game I mean. When we're sleepy in the blocks we're always wank, when we're up and at em, attacking from the word go, you see the difference. Last season against Man Utd, we were like a starved rottweiler chasing a one legged fox, this season it was the complete opposite and we couldn't get out of that rut. Having said that like we started shite last season against these and won, but we need a convincing win on Sunday for morale and something to get out teeth in to. My prediction is Sunderland 0 Newcastle 3. There ye are. ps these kids on twitter "going for a shite #ftm" it was ironic the first time, the 100000th time it's not funny so pipe down. The Fish 10963
Do I need any more questions for Sunderland? How do you feel the atmosphere differs at the SOL and what do you miss about Roker Park? What's your pre-derby rituals? Anything different from a normal match? Fletcher has started really well, but Sessegnon hasn't picked up where he left off. Different team focus, or just poor form so far? Which Sunderland player do you predict will have a big season? Which Sunderland player do you predict will have a disappointing season? What's a realistic aim for Sunderland this season? Have you sufficiently strengthened to achieve this? Who will win the Premier League this year and why? How do you see the top 6 panning out? and why? Which teams will be relegated and why? Who will be your danger man/men against Newcastle? Which Newcastle players are you worried about? Finally, what do you reckon the score will be? Tried to avoid any digs or wind-ups so if there's any fury it'll look ridiculous. Hows about Nar, I think the aim is to get interesting responses to interesting questions. Why do you hate Newcastle, will provide the best answers to any of the questions, and it's always good to read their jealousy.
