The 22-year-old says he is in the dark over the interest, telling Romerikes Blad: "I don't know any more than what is written on the internet." However his agent, Jim Solbakken, says he has had contact with Newcastle - though refused to reveal whether Berget had been discussed. He said: "I have been in touch with Newcastle for many reasons, (including) regarding forwards. But I don't want to tell if we have discussed Jo Inge." Norway are shit and he has just ONE cap, while he's scored the grand total of 21 in 100 games in the NORWEGIAN LEAGUE! FFS. Hopefully it's pony.
