JawD 99
Im toying with upgrading my PC for a high spec gaming rig. Want it water cooled as well as I keep it in a desk unit and theres not much circulation. Anyway, I used to build my own but now frankly cant be arsed. So, do I buy an overpriced Alienware and be done with it, search for other pre-made rigs, find a shop that sells parts and pay a bit more for them to build it, or stop being lazy and do my own? Any sites recommended to use as well? Cheers

Christmas Tree 4815
Goldstar and falcon. Both independent computer shops a mile from your work (near sol) do that sort of thing. I've used them for normal PC and laptops but they always have ready made gizmos and made to order stuff available. Always found the service excellent. Sonatine 11542
Got my new PC from PC specialist too, good price and very happy with it so far. They do a few pre-built models, and you can customise them too. I'd avoid Alienware, had 2 machines from them in the past, both ended up knacking big time. http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/
Tooj 17
On a similar thing, I'm interested in building a media server PC. Just want to story everything I own onto it, which is quite a lot. Then cable it up to maybe something like an Acer Revo so I have complete access to my multi media library at all times. What would the best way to build the PC be? As I have no fucking idea what to do first.

JawD 99
Fucking hell that PC specialist are hard work Anyway, Ive been emailing them and as the person I am talking to is clearly the YTS, I thought Id post the same question here. (which to me if a fucking basic thing to ask but here you go). This is the spec I am looking at : Case COOLERMASTER CM STORM ENFORCER - GAMING ENTHUSIAST CASE Processor (CPU) Intel® Core™i7 Six Core Processor i7-3930K (3.2GHz) 12MB Cache Motherboard ASUS® P9X79 PRO: INTEL® SOCKET LG2011 Memory (RAM) 8GB KINGSTON HYPERX GENESIS DUAL-DDR3 1866MHz X.M.P(2 x 4GB KIT) Graphics Card 2GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 670 - 2 DVI, HDMI, DP - 3D Vision Ready 2nd Graphics Card 2GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 670 - 2 DVI, HDMI, DP - 3D Vision Ready Memory - 1st Hard Disk 120GB KINGSTON HYPERX 3K SSD, SATA 6 Gb/s (upto 555MB/sR | 510MB/sW) 2nd Hard Disk 1TB WD CAVIAR BLACK WD1002FAEX, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64MB CACHE (7200rpm) 1st DVD/BLU-RAY Drive 12x BLU-RAY ROM DRIVE, 16x DVD ±R/±RW Memory Card Reader INTERNAL 52 IN 1 CARD READER (XD, MS, CF, SD, etc) + 1 x USB 2.0 PORT Power Supply CORSAIR 850W PRO SERIES™ HX850-80 PLUS® GOLD MODULAR (£138) Processor Cooling INTEL CERTIFIED LIQUID CPU COOLER FOR SOCKET LG2011 (£78) Fan Controller AeroCool Touch 2000 LCD Touch Screen 4 Fan Controller + 2 x Front USB Sound Card ONBOARD 8 CHANNEL (7.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD) Network Facilities 10/100/1000 GIGABIT LAN PORT - AS STANDARD ON ALL PCs USB Options 6 x USB 2.0 PORTS @ BACK PANEL (MIN 2 FRONT PORTS) AS STANDARD Operating System Genuine Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit w/SP1 - inc DVD & Licence My question is this (copied from my email to them) : I have a problem with Depth. The case I chose and the one you suggested are actually too deep for the space I have. Can you recommend a good case that would fit this system that would fit within the following: H - 530mm W - 460mm D - 480mm (giving me room for right angled power cord) He fucking replied with a 52cm deep case. when I questioned it he offered some cheap 48cm case which clearly was no good for the spec I posted. Can I get a good case that will fit in the space I have?

JawD 99
Right, cheers! Id like to keep it outside of the cabinet but a mouthy dog and two kids suggests its not a great idea. Id look at the HTPC style case though PCSpecialist do not seem to do them. Any other online company like that people use / recommend?
