I've loved it on here over the years and still pop on now and then, but although I hate to admit it, if I've got half an hour online I check my mails etc then go have a looksie on Bookface Although there are features I hate about FB I can tailor my FB settings to how I choose and keep up to date with family and friends that I want to hear from. (a few from off here too)

Of late if I come on here and choose a thread to read it more often than not ends in bickering and I've got to the stage in my life when I just cant be fucking bothered with it all!

Secondly after all the years on here most thread topics have been well and truely covered, I used to start loads of them way back when! I just feel I'm repeating myself over and over

 

Sad you dont post (maybe you'll come back one day) but understandable I suppose. Its a given that this is a moving feast and that as older posters move on, other older posters who are left behind feel a hole in their online life. Its always hard for this group to find the will to get involved all over again with the new brigade.

 

I know from personal experience when I took a vacation on Newcastle Online, I used to get almost daily PM's from Tom, Catmag, Andt and co asking me to comeback. Being the soft I am, I did.

 

But yes Toonraider I appreciate that when you've been here and done it, seen old friends drift away, it must be hard to get excited about new blood.

He's mental and I'm going to have to block him. I tried all day to hammer it through to him that he wasn't banned for his opinions, or for taking the piss. He was banned for ruining the place with his endless bullshit and his grudges and his obsessions.

 

I was never a fan of banning anyone, but honestly 1 day of trying to get him to understand a simple couple of points has reiterated to me why this place is better off without him.

Actually Renton, I said what I said to give you a reminder that imagining things and the actual truth can be miles off, as in your imagination of me signing on the dole but anyway that's by the by now.

 

My humour is odd, I agree with you there. my wife calls me mental and even says, " where the hell do you come up with that stuff from" amid giggling mind.

 

I also sing stupid words to songs and they rhyme and my wife might be standing at the sink...close mind, due to her size 1 feet and find she will sing the wrong words to a song because my words have got into her head.

 

A for instance:

 

Did you ever watch Balamory? You know the little seaside town with different coloured houses and there was Suzie sweet and Penny poclet...they both run the village shop and cafe .

Then there was Archie, he lived in a castle and was an inventor.

KSA was a satirist. He used to deliberately take the anti-view to highlight the failings of that position. Wolfy highlights ridiculous viewpoints to try and get a bite. I don't get enjoyments from this per sé, but from the deliberate efforts to troll.

I think you're affording a lot more praise to him than he deserves. The conspiracy chatter is one thing, but his "humour" in the other threads just bypasses me. Trolling is boring. Just as boring as deliberately contrary folk are.

If you have met the lad face to face, then I think you would get a true understanding of the internet persona he portrays. If this is the case , then I can accept that you have a problem with the lad.....If not, I think the problem stays with yourself and any other person that has never physically met him.

I personally , (internet wise) thought he was a good poster , and I would have no problem if he called me a stupid looking prick for my views.

He is an interesting and opinionated poster, just as you are and many others, yet your opinions appear to supposedly have more basis , due to the 'following' of certain WEAK individuals who hang on to what you type.
