Papa Lazaru 0
I think Tiote's absence is showing quite how much he brings to the team, he just doesn't let other teams dominate us in midfield and when Colo and Krul are back that's the spine of the team and they are vital to us. Also hopefully we have just seen the start of Cabaye returning to form and that Cisse can get himself up and running soon as he really needs a goal now. catmag 337
That was exactly the kind of game where, in the past, we would have lain down and been walked all over once they went 2-1 up. We had a shocking first half and it's fantastic to see that we're seeing these players work as a team and looking confident and up for it. We spent so long bloody conceding goals before half time in games and coming back out with heads down that it's just class to see them fighting and working hard for a result. OTF 7295
reports that OberAlien head apparently refused to go on as a substitute  cheeky fecker where does he get his balls.  One of the best things he's done since arriving if true. Ameobi was quality.
trophyshy 7083
For our only big signing Anita currently looks like a squad player. Appreciate it's early days and he is being moved about, but his forward play is speculative at best.
Tooj 17
I think the second half wasn't so much about a change in formation, but more a change of intensity and tempo from the team. It looked like they'd have a rocket and upped their efforts accordingly. That's the kind of energy we need to put in for the rest of our games. Â Hopefully tonight's comeback can spur us on to kickstart the season.

Brock Manson 0
Harper - 6 nowt to do Perch - 7 he should be first choice DM when Tiote is out. Santon - 6 didn't play badly and did ok going forward. Willo - 5 should've blocked the first, looked very shaky throughout. Taylor - 6 some shaky moments too but he's shown that he's definitely a first choice centre back for us. Marv - 4 nothing was coming off for him and couldn't stop Baines & Pienaar. Benny - 6.5 he was electric in the second half but almost gifted a goal. Not given enough possession so was virtually anonymous in the first half save for losing it by the area. Anita - 5 rubbish. Looked ok at fullback again though. Jonas - 6 alreet. Another completely different player in the 2nd. Cabeye - 7 shite first half, 7 alone for the assist. Perfection. Different player in the 2nd. Cisse - 5 ineffective throughout. I think Ba needs to start ahead of him. Â Ba - 8 supersub performance. He needs to start. Play him for the first half of the season, Cisse the second when Ba is knackered. Two very well-finished goals. Shola - 6 great player to bring on to do what he does. Â Agree with that, so the question then - has he been brought in a right back and is just being 'persuaded' out of his preferred role?

NJS 4377
And Perhichinchilla into the middle and Anita at RB really helped. Â I'd play Anita at RB in the league and in midfield in the cups to get him used to the team. Â I'd definitely play Perch or Bigi ahead of him until Tiote is fit. StellarStripes 0
Well...Credit to Pardew for getting the changes right at half time. Many called for us to bring Ba on for Marveaux and it was answered, i called for Jonas to be moved to the right to give us some balance and it was answered, all of us wanted our players to stand up and improve and they did. We were very VERY good second half. Â Funny game though isnt it? This was definitely a game of two halfs. We were battered in the 1st and i'd say we battered them in large spells in the second. Â We deserved a point for sure, Everton deserved to win. Officiating the losers in this one. If there ever was a game to prove the need for goal line technology then this was it, although im glad we didnt tonight. Â Cabaye was instrumental in the turn around, well done Yohan. Jonas was very very good down the right, Santon done very well at left back, as did Anita on the right. Williamson was shite whilst Taylor done well. Â Harper...6 Should have done better with their second and his kicking was awful. Santon...7 Always wanted to get forward and his running on the ball was very important in the 2nd half. Anita...7 Looks more of a RB than a midfielder, done well, another long ball specialist though... Williamson...5 Shaky, uncertain on the ball and commits to many dodgey fouls. Taylor...7 Done well, read the game well and was very solid. Cabaye...7 Shite 1st half but became the player we know from last season in the second. Great assist and got his tail up and had a smile on his face. Perch...7 Used the ball well in midfield, good off the ball movement and some great tackles. Should be seen as a CM more than a defender. Jonas...7 Worked hard, won free kicks, ran with the ball well to release pressure. Ben Arfa...6 Was tricky at times but not one of his best games...Should have scored at 1-1. Marveaux...5 Done nothing, not upto speed yet. Cisse...5 Poor, should have scored, not looking the player he was last year... Â Ba...9 Looked hungry, moved well and got his goals...Very happy...Interesting to hear him say he has been "unhappy with some things recently" though... Â Happy with the point and the 2nd half performance. Very happy Pardew made the right decisions at half time too.

I think that's basically incorrect and I completely agree with Gary Neville who has called that game spot on, as he usually does. Ba and Cissé stopped Distin and Jagielka pushing the full backs on and Jonas and Anita sorted out Piennar and Baines. Pardew got us an excellent point there. Tooj 17
"I was proud of the second half. In the first half we lacked belief that we could win the game. I was shocked. Fortunately we've got good spirit in the dressing room."Â "Not many teams from 1-0 down with the players we had missing would come back from that." Â "Half time gave me the perfect opportunity to put some belief in the team. I knew I needed to change that attitude because the first half was as bad as we've been since I've been here." Â "He [ba] got two goals' date=' he could have had a hat-trick. Sometimes players play well when they're angry." Â "It showed when they got the second we were never going to give in." Â "I'll never set up a team to try and take a point. That team in the first half looked like they were trying to hold Everton and that isn't good enough."[/quote']
