Energy, plus resources.

Are we being ripped off good style with energy, as in what we pay?

I don't just mean rising inflation gas prices, petrol, oil, electric and so on, I mean being ripped off with a pretence that all of these are expensive to produce and we are supposedly running out of oil and what not.

I don't think we are running out of oil as we are told but I do think we are using oil far too fast for it to replenish( and I don't mean over millions of years like the bullshitters like to suggest it takes, as I do not believe oil is fossil fuel anyway.

Think about this.

We pay about £6 a gallon at the pump for petrol/diesel right? It's drilled and supposedly hard to find and keep up supply and this is why the prices get hiked.

The reason it's hiked is because it's linked to most peoples everyday lives, including leisure, so it's something they can continually hike up, using the excuse that it's a fast running out resource.

When you think about it...look at the price of one gallon of petrol £6 (estimate) now look how much we pay for the same gallon of beer/lager e.t.c, which can go from £20 a gallon up to about £40 a gallon....why?

Do they have to drill for beer? Do they have to build rigs and tow them out to sea?....No they don't, yet they can charge all that for beer.

Look at how your electricity bills have been hiked up in the space of just a decade and yet privatisation was supposedly good for giving us a choice of supplier to get a good price for what we pay, yet I believe they are all the same Government run company just given certain names so people cannot complain .

I think we have the resources in abundance that replenishes quickly, as in oil and such, all made by mother Earth which is measured in maybe a score of years rather than the millions of years that we have been led to believe.

I mean...65 million years ago for dinosaurs lol..I think most of those are made up anyway but that's another story.

Does anyone have any thoughts on stuff like this?

I think oil is a re-newable resource in a short time. I don't think we will be running out of it for any set length of time as I think it replenishes.

I just think we are using it too fast, a bit like over fishing...If we all cut down on fish for just a few years, the sea would be teeming and I think it's similar with oil and gas.

I think oil is basically made deep in the earths crust but not by rotting plants and animals as we are led to believe.

The problem is, we won;t ever have access to cheaper resources because it's a game of, hike up the prices so we buy less or use less yet still pay the same or more for the lesser we use. That way, the big cheeses don't lose and in time their oil reserves have greatly replenished making them more money while we keep emptying our pockets on the notion that oil is getting too dear to extract.

I think the same with electricity. We are told that coal and like I said , oil and gas are getting scarce and our bills go sky high due to the cost of running coal, gas, oil fired power stations, yet Nuclear power was supposedly the way to go for un-metered energy...basically cheap as chips energy, which didn't see the light of day for us.

We all need gas, electric, oil and such and we rely on it, so we will pay hiked up prices all the time albeit with a small whinge and they know it.

We get conned with green energy and taxed on everything just about.

We get told that things are scarce , yet it's just a con job as far as I'm concerned just so they can hike prices up every five minutes.

Explain how the earth is not rotating (as you claimed i believe?) but time goes faster when you fly east and i'll read the OP :)

For you to understand how a spinning Earth is ridiculous, you need to at least be open to actually questioning it and questioning the supposed science behind it. If you can do that, you might see it differently.

Now here's what you have to ask yourself.

Do we have an atmosphere within an atmosphere?

For a spinning Earth, this is what would be required. we would have our normal wind/air/clouds moving...then also we would need an invisible to US, atmosphere to go with the 1000 plus mph spin of the Earth and this magical OTHER atmosphere would have to grip the surface of a solid Earth and move with it at the exact same speed, whilst not affecting the air, clouds around us, which move in all directions and can be mild to hurricane.

The spinning Earth is created based on early science made up magic, cooked up by those who decided that the worship of the sun was paramount and the sun had to be the centre of our universe with all other mere planets flying around that.

Before dismissing it...have a serious think about it and try not to let what science has ingrained into you, dictate your thoughts.

I have to say I'm surprised. I'm having serious difficulty imaging you as someone who doesn't have some kind of major mental impairment, big enough that even basic tasks like walking would be impossible.

That's great kidder. Keep thinking about how I manage to get about whilst I just go about my life, there's a good lad.
