Not too sure about this, but I hear Jodie is "the lowest of the low" according to Pete. Fair play she is low, but not accepting who you are and spending several thousand pounds to make a poor attempt at making yourself look like a woman isn't "low"?

I know this tracks back a few days but about the argument between Jodie and Pete about the gorilla coat, he has no argument for wearing it whatsoever.

If people are wearing coats like that, it means that there's a market for them, so more animals are going to be skinned so that some twat who got his lips stuck in a vacuum cleaner can look like an even bigger twat. :)

I wear leather shoes and eat meat, so I'm not going to have a go at him.

Gol - So it's ok to kill them if they're plentiful, but not cool if they're rare?

And how do you know that meat I was talking about isn't Gorilla? :)

That's different (not the shoes bit) though isn't it? So long as your BSE burgers fill your tum then that's ok, but how often do you eat gorilla?

I'm no animal rights activist, but I do object to people wearing dead carcases in the name of 'fashion'. :)

I know I wouldn't do it, but I can't really find it me to critisize him for wanting to do it. I choose to wear the nice leather shoes with a suit because I think it looks good. I know there are options (as I am frequently reminded by my token militant vegan chum who buys shoes off the internet made of something...probably tofu). Equally I could survive as a vegetarian (as I have done for a few years) but I choose to eat meat, and you're right that is a poorer comparison.

It's really the Jodie Marshs of this world, bleating on about animal rights when they haven't even made the effort to know what they're talking about that do my head in.

I've been studying animal rights recently as I'm writing a 2000 word essay on ethical and religious views on animal experimentation and most of what I've found is a lot more detailed than Jodie Marsh's argument :)

Leather is really a by-product of beef though isn't it?

But the statistics at which animals are killed just for the testing of cosmetics and household products is staggering :)

That's really my point, it's an area of serious double standards. I can't help but think if it was Traci wearing that coat there'd be a lot less uproar about the whole thing. I can respect someone having a problem with the ape coat but without the double standards, although my vegan chum fits that bill, and he's a pain in the arse, so decide carefully! :)

For the record I don't really mind Pete. Rula wound me up going on about him, as I understand she is a practicing Buddhist, and while there are various types, I think one of the main tenets of her faith is following here own path and leaving others to follow theirs. I also don't see how Pete pumping crap into his lips is any different from her wearing makeup or me lifting weights, except of course the degrees of social acceptance.

Think Jodie is choc full of animal by-products already  !!! :)

77793

When she came into the house I knew very little about her so was quite happy to be open minded about her. Since then she's complained how everyone judges her whilst judging everyone, including eskimos FFS!

I'll just say if she were ejected first and the crowd were awful and she decided it was all too much and topped herself, I'd feel no pity. Probably harsh, but that's a hell of an impression to make on someone in about 2 hours of television.

Rula is a budhist? :) Looks like she'd sell you a sprig of heather and curse you should you refuse it....

Pete is just...horrible to look at :) Looks like Jessica Simpson having an allergic reaction.

Heh I'm just not too keen on the idea of animal testing, I don't think I want to be wearing any tofu shoes in the near future :)

Is Pete going to be cornered by one of those paint-throwing animal rights people after the show?

The scientific community would no doubt mourn her passing however.

I wouldn't shag him like, I just don't really have a problem with him. He's a bit mental, but if I'm watching Big Brother I'm going to have to take that as a given.

Tofu shoes - the way of the future. :)

Don't know these things, but is Rula a lesbian?

Ok, just saying because she has a man's voice and likes stroking the ladies in the house.

Well, I thought she may have also been a man at first for a short time.

78112

She was married to Dennis Waterman, so as far as I know she aint no Lickalotapus.

That's it... I knew there was something missing. Thanks for clearing that up.
