Christmas Tree 4839
Following the fiasco of trying to put a bet on against Spurs, Bet Butler, the new betting company withing St James have put out the following statement. Betbutler, Newcastle United's new betting partners, have issued an apology to supporters after experiencing techinical problems during Saturday's game with Tottenham Hotspur, Their statement reads: We would like to apologise for the issues faced by some fans at the Spurs game on Saturday. Betbutler.co.uk is an internet business, so we use a company called BD Stadia to manage our betting operations in the stadium. They are the biggest in-stadia betting operators in the world and have successfully worked for many years with over 25 UK clubs. In an effort to provide an improved customer experience they introduced new technology on Saturday which had been thoroughly tested but unfortunately failed in some areas of the stadium under the stress of a matchday crowd. New standard kit will be replaced for the next game and we will revert to the tradition coupon betting you have been used to for many years. We would like to apologise to the fans who had a less than satisfactory betting experience, please contact any of our customer service team on enquiries@betbutler.co.uk or call 0333 900 6888 and they will ensure that you are able to get your winnings in the easiest way. Please note, the simplest way to bet and the best odds are always available online. We are a new kind of bookmaker. Our online technology scans the worlds largest bookmakers for the best odds and we place your bets with whoever has the best price. Therefore we are very pleased that so many of our customers won their bets following our victory over Spurs, we're just sorry that the stadium technology didn't provide what we expected for this game. To compensate for any inconvenience caused, we are offering fan who opens an online account between now and the end of September and matched deposit of £10. Once you have deposited please email our customer service team on enquiries@betbutler.co.uk and they will credit your account. Much preferred the old lot myself. JawD 99
Betting at the game is part of the match day experience imo. We would always put 5 x £1 daft bets on and use it for beer money after the game if anything came in. Betting or collecting online is not part of that. McFaul 35
Saturday was one of the first times ever I didn't place one, what's the crack like can you not just write your bet out and collect it after the game if it wins?
sweetleftpeg 0
We always hoy on a stupid one for Santon to score at anytime (used to be Enrique) but I've never liked online betting..a bit soulless for me. There is nowt better than getting cash in hand, and with Ladbrokes you could always pick it up at any shop. Yup, they don't have shops so can only collect online. Guess I'll have to find a pre match Ladbrokes.

Aye but last season if you won, you could just queue at the end of the game and get your pay out.

Gene_Clark 12
I don't gamble; I find it immoral, especially when you see so many people who get in to terrible financial (and emotional) problems because of it.
