Remember the strike he wrongly had chalked off against Man City too? He usually couldn't hit a barn door but his two goals were absolute worldies.

Always gave his best for the team, even in the latter years when he played a much smaller part. RIP.

Think it's worth mentioning that he often looked poor when he played without someone creative in midfield largely because, rather than just sticking to what he was good at, he would try and be more creative and take on the responsibility. It's quite brave and does you no favours with the crowd but it's better than just letting a match slip away by, in effect, hiding.

Wasn't shy of a long range effort despite almost never catching them properly either  Usually spurred on by divvies in the crowd shouting "shoot"

He should have been a lot more shy of those long range efforts though.  And those in the crowd who encouraged him years after his only good shot should have been banned from the ground.

Totally agree with what Alex said.
