The Fish 10963
They won't get rid of him out of some sense of principle, but if Bayern/Real come knocking they've got a nice excuse now. It's crazy, he's scored over 35% of their seasons goals and after him its Gerrard with 12% and he can't be expected to carry the expectations of Liverpool for another season, can he? Kid Dynamite 7169
Funny how the club have decided to lay into him in public. Shame they defended him to the hilt for being a racist prick. What sort of grown man bites someone in a strip? Twice?

Happy Face 29
Why don't the club take the lead and just say they are banning him the rest of the season themselves? At least try to win the PR battle.
The Fish 10963
Because if the FA are meek and ban him for 1 game (or worse, don't punish because "the ref saw it"), Liverpool could ban* him for 1 game and have him available for the others and if the FA ban him for 3 matches then Liverpool can state they've banned him for "the rest of the season" and still won the PR with the only people they give a fuck about; Liverpool fans. *rest

Happy Face 29
To be fair to the lad if he didn't bite people it would be like Spiderman not using his webs or The Hulk not doing Hulk Smash. essembeeofsunderland 811
tv proves the ref didn't see it,but he acted as if he had seen it,hence his decision to speak to both players. With the new `i saw the coming together' rule, every cheating ref can use this.Every ref from now can,if they want, say they saw every incident, but not the full incident, leaving them in the clear. Didn't Defoe bite an opposition player a few years ago. This is a licence for every ref to justify their bias towards Man Utd.
luckyluke 2
You only have to look at the Wigan game to witness the scale of the FA's ineptitude. Although it's obviously for the best that Hadeira made a quick recovery, a silver lining to him not doing so could have been the FA being forced to review their absurd policy of not intervening if a referee claimed to have seen an incident. Particularly as the club were making noises about legal action. It was interesting to see Savage and Murray's rather open bemusement about the FA's inconsistency when predicting Suarez's punishment on Motd last night. luckyluke 2
They can act whenever they want, they make the rules ffs! They only CHOOSE to act in exceptional circumstances. Such as the victim playing for Man Utd (although difficult to contest because the refs always seem to see enough of such incidents to send the opposing player off..). If that's true, that's one of the most shameless things ive ever heard of in football. Using a tragedy like Hillsborough as leverage for PR in the aftermath of a despicable incident. Well done Suarez (and, by extension, Liverpool board). There is absolutely nothing admirable about him wanting that money to go to a particular place or whatever. If any Liverpool fan falls for this, I really hope that those with sense will pull them back round to sense. Fucking atrocious.

Happy Face 29
Adidas - "We will be reminding him of the standards we expect from our players. Luis has admitted his actions were unacceptable and we support the way Liverpool are planning to handle the situation." Suarez - "For my unacceptable behaviour the club has fined me." Gordon Taylor - "It was unacceptable" Rogers - "his behaviour is unacceptable and I have made him aware of this." Ayre - "It has been made absolutely clear to Luis Suarez that his behaviour was not acceptable." Ayre later on - "Luis is a very important player to the club. As we keep saying, he signed a new four-year contract last summer and we'd all love to see him here throughout that contract. He's a fantastic player, top scorer and everything we'd want in a striker, so there's no change there." What definition of the word "unacceptable" do these people have? luckyluke 2
Disappointing but hardly surprising. The stakes and the money involved means that everyone has an agenda to an extent and very, very few are keen to disadvantage themselves excesively for the sake of principal. We kept Barton for worse. Every man and team for themselves. Thatcher's legacy.
