If McCarthy wasn't out for the season then they would've shaded it imo. McDermott finally grew a pair and subbed off McAnuff, albeit in the 81st minute which was far too late. Shambles of a player. Van Persie classy as always celebrated right in front of the Reading fans. Fergie very wise to take of Rafael before he got sent off (although he really should've picked up two yellow cards). Funny game - definitely feel gutted at losing when a draw was probably fair, but you simply can't defend like that especially against ManUre at this level and hope to stay up.
