Is that right? Robbie Elliot scored with a header iirc. Would've been 97, i.e. 96/97 season because Dalglish, having took over from KK, employed Elliot is a 3 man midfield which allowed him to play Tino, Sir Les and Shearer upfront. I think Elliot played every game that season under KD and went on a cracking run of form. So what did Dalglish do that following summer? He sold him to Bolton and replaced him with Pistone. Elliot got a broken leg in one of his first matches for them (might've been his debut / home debut). It was a Monday night game iirc. I think it was the day after Princess Diana died and our Sky match away to Liverpool was cancelled. Funny the things you remember / how time flies...
