These men speak the truth. Be interesting to see this seasons line up behind the bar in the C&L, they have a canny knack of getting some hotties.

By hotties, Steve means a bunch of 19 year old Eastern Europeans who definitely, DEFINITELY fancy him. C and L is good but it's ridiculously small, not the best if you're not with footy fans or whatever

It's a "proper" pub, serves lagers and ales, food is pub grub, not high falootin' couscous on a bed of quail's knackers.

Your speed.

Wasn't an insult.

Aye, sound canny.

That pub at Leicester Square though. Must have been a few hundred supping there before the cup final suppin and singing in the sunshine.

Get yersel to Kings Cross early doors CT, you'll find loads of our lot, then head into town. Chepest place for a pint near the ground is the Fulham CIU club, next to what used to be the Britannia, which has now been ponced up and is called "Bar So"...its out the arse end of Fulham Broadway tube,5 min walk...

Unfortunately it's a couples weekend (fri-sun) and it's taken a lot of negotiating just to get a few hours off for the match.

Women are off to see Ghost or some similar shit while we watch the match. Either they'll meet us back near the hotel (Trafalgar ) or we'll watch the match near / at the West End.

in addition to what Fish has correctly pointed out - the food in the C&L is generally toss, stick with a burger! As Clee says the pub is as small as your average laundry cupboard which is great for atmosphere but not ideal for trying to get a constant good view or to the bar quickly but there is a screen at both ends of the room so it's manageable.

And an upstairs bit. Or is that only open when they can be bothered? I haven't been in for a couple of years mind.

Regular enough at the local pub to demand we're shown now.

No more traipsing into Bond St for the football for me. Now, if only I could find a decent curry house in Clapham...
