Happy Face 29
Suppose it can't become a conflict of interest for 3 years. Seems dodgy if it does like. Do many major shareholders have stakes in other clubs, potentially in the same competitions?
2bias 3
Clever move, get them while they are cheap. Sell on in a few years...like our players
McFaul 35
Hunbelievable. I thought you could only have a stake in one club anyway, under UEFA rules, because RA was warned off piling money in to CSKA Moscow. 38000 watching them against East Fife last night, they may be a trampy bunch of wanks but that's not bad by any standard. New Watford owner Giampaolo Pozzo owns three clubs, Udinese, Granada and now Watford.

wolfy 12
Mike Ashley is a businessman and businessmen are in the game to make money. It doesn't matter what he buys into to swell his coffers outside of Newcastle because it doesn't affect us in any way as his interest in this club is totally different as he owns this club outright...it's his baby. sandman02uk 0
I've got no problem at all with a clever man knowing he can make a killing from those mugs north of the border, 1m to get 10% stake, then exclusive deal to sell shirts, 50k people buying a replica kit at 40sheets a pop? cheers easy

When they get back to the SPL (whenever that it) I'm sure 10% will be worth a lot more.

Monroe Transfer 0
Nice - get them while they're cheap, sell them a few years later when there's a fair margin of profit to be had and reinvest the lot in NUFC.

2bias 3
Wonder where the extra few million for Debuchy went... It's not about the money or where it went. If we wanted Debuchy we could buy him but that would go against the policies set in place.
NYD 0
Fuck ! This means we'll have loads of them pricks wearing Rangers tops around the Toon while insisting that they're Newcastle fans. And god forbid maybe the mackems will start wearing Celtic tops ?

OTF 7492
Is he actually buying in to Rangers or is Sports Direct just doing to deal to sell their shirts? You'll not suvive in the media with that kind of rumour downplaying. Selling the shirts would be the most profitable part I would reckon.
