Gejon 2
Will AVB be given the time he needs or will doubts creep in if the results don't come? Will Rodgers perform the same magic with Liverpool and convert mediocre championship players into a fluent, high quality passing side? Will Wenger yet again confound expectations and deliver another CL qualification? Will Pardew start on a 4th official for getting time added on incorrect? Early days as you say Dave. Started getting visions of Batfink for a second there
alexkeble 0
Spurs' new tiki-taka philosophy had a stunted start because of our dominant midfield, in my opinion. Our passing was so confident that, with the heat, tired Spurs quickly and made their hard pressing game impossible to sustain. As they began to sit-off, Ba struck. Great stuff, and Spurs need to work out how and when they need to press. Happy Face 29
Our midfield were dominant? Didn't feel like that. Certainly not at half time.
luckyluke 2
And Tiote's passing may have been confident but it was still abysmal. I think I'll give your tactical analysis a miss.
CleeToonFan 1
On FourFourTwos opta iPhone app it has like player influence, with everyone's name on a pitch and the bigger the name the more influential he was. Anyway Tiote is the largest name on it, how do they decide that?
Happy Face 29
I like how it was so hot in London it meant the Spurs players were drained in Newcastle.
BigWalrus 0
Tiote's passing wasn't abysmal though. He tried a couple of more adventurous balls and they didn't come off, but in his core role - sat in front of the back four - he was always there. Perch's 100% pass completion ratio is in no small part down to the availability of a pass to Tiote.
Tooj 17
Tiote's passing often looks off in home games when the pressure is on us, the reason I think for that is when we aren't winning he's not playing his natural game but due to the character he is he's trying to take responsibility and make things happen when others around him aren't. Fuck all wrong with that iyam. Although I wish he wouldn't shoot all the time.
Tom 14013
It's down to clueless dickheads shouting shoot all the time. Like me once or twice
BigWalrus 0
To be fair, we got a couple of corners out of the long range shooting (one from Tiote and one from Jonas)

And there were a lot of them! It was a relief seeing Anita come on and hold onto the ball for a bit. Half decent teams in Europe will punish us for stray balls in our own half
BigWalrus 0
Literally every pass he tried longer than 5 yards went to the opposition. Sorry, like, but that's just not true. We played keep ball in our own half for long spells and Tiote was central to it.
Kid Dynamite 7172
We must have been at different games then cos the one I was at he was met with 50'000 groans every time he tried another cross field pass that failed
aimaad22 4222
I think that was the case for the first hour or so but he started getting his act together in the latter part of the game. No doubt he was way way off his best though.
