The points race is normally pretty good to watch, but as they scrapped in in favour of doing 6 different disciplines it made it a bit of a mess because a lot of the riders now involved aren't endurance cyclists so none of them really wanted to take turns at the front or press very much and it was dominated by a few. Either way - the cycling has been fantastic viewing Anyone got onto these medal bearing/presentation folk in the cycling btw ? Obviously been told to smile for all they're worth amd the kid with the gegs and ponytail has been at them all with his big grin and medal cushion . They've rightly pointed out that the time he won the World Championships in was about a second slower than all of them can run, and that his personal best is about a second slower than will be required to win the Olympics.
