Christmas Tree 4725
The Guardian one you might have been thinking of, CT: http://www.guardian....rfect-hamburger (comments thread has useful stuff too) Dont think Ive seen that and think it was the mail one however I have used a few of the Guardians "how to make the best......" and for Yorkshire puddings and Jacket Potatoes they were spot on. The one I have been meaning to try for a while is this one from the bbc. http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/3528/pork-apple-and-sage-burger-with-caramelised-onions
ChezGiven 0
The fuck you want to put a cream cracker in a burger for? Pure beef with the possibility of some seasoning / herbs, rare. "You know whats lush in a carbonara? Ryvita"
ChezGiven 0
Aye, i imagined that was the reason, just not sure i want my burger to taste of Jacob's cream crackers. If it's good i'll take your word, sounds funny though I'm just trying to think of odd secret ingredients but i cant top crackers in a burger. Brock Manson 0
You can use couscous as an alternative to crackers/breadcrumbs for something a little different. I made lamb koftas from scratch with the above a few days ago and they were bloody brilliant! 250g lamb mince 2 tbsp couscous (prepared and seasoned with a bit of lemon juice & paprika) good deal of chopped mint 1 egg smoked paprika salt & pepper handfull chopped dates 2 cloves garlic You could mould them into burger patties too - I got 8 man-sized koftas out of it so you'd get 4 - 5 burgers no trouble. Gemmill 44896
The Jamie burgers with the crackers are mint. Dunno if the recipe posted had parmesan in too but there's one he does with crackers and parmesan in and they're class

Brock Manson 0
These burgers hate freedom. Served up with a spicy tomato sauce and honey mint yogurt, it wouldn't just be J69 dribbling in his pants with delight if you served them up at a BBQ. They sound top notch, might use any left over lamb and give them a go. I'm going for 6 lamb and 6 beef from Jamie's website, a big bowl of salad and some crisps. Should be plenty for 10 of us. The only concern now is that the weather will go tits up.
