McFaul 35
We are shite, it's undeniable, but we are still better than 9 or 10 countries in this tournament, and wouldn't it just be like England to do something when there is literally no expectation at all. If we get to the semi's though oh dear, even Abu Hamza and that disgusting repugnant crook of a woman "Baroness Warsi" will have a car flag such will be the feverish level of Bandwagon jumping. David Villa will be a massive miss for Spain, and I think Portugal have a really decent outside chance.
Tom 14011
People generally seem quite calm about the tournament. I find myself excited but more for the festival of football & watching group B. England will have to do the work rather than the fans this year.

He's that good. He's one of the ten greatest players in history, and he's suffering because possibly the greatest is playing in the same era as him. He is a completely ground breaking phenomenal player, who is by a million miles the best at this tournament. McFaul 35
do they tend to set out with ronaldo as an out and out striker? madrid play him on the left do they tend to set out with ronaldo as an out and out striker? madrid play him on the left They have done, at Man Utd as you know he was often up front which is why he got 31 in 34 in hist last season in the Barclays Premier League. This IS what they should go with, but they'll probably chuck Postiga in there, they're still a side I think who will get to the Semi's at least. If they beat Germany in the opening game everybody will go "fuck me", I won't. Germany are vastly overrated, on the back of hitting England on the counter attack twice in South Africa and playing a completely organised Argentina. RobH 0
Are they going to show the world a documentary on the London riots a week before the Olympics? You're in the fine company of Stan Collymore with that one.
toonotl 2916
It seems comparatively there is a lot of anti-semitism and racism generally in eastern Europe. Probably has a lot to do with the generally poor level of education of the populous coupled with the ongoing problem in former Eastern block and Balkan countries of being a backwater shithole. Brock Manson 0
England have put Jordan Henderson on standby notice for Euro 2012 after confirming that Frank Lampard has suffered a thigh injury.Though the Football Association has been reluctant to give more details as to the extent of the injury, it has confirmed that Liverpoolmidfielder Henderson has been told to prepare himself if required by manager Roy Hodgson.Lampard pulled up during a training session at England's base in London Colney on Wednesday and will now undergo a scan on Thursday to assess the extent of the damage. A statement from the FA read: "Frank Lampard has today pulled up in training with a thigh injury. "He will have a scan and be assessed by the England medical team tomorrow. "Jordan Henderson has been put on standby notice as cover whilst Lampard continues to be monitored." Lampard's status as an established member of the England first team began to slip under Fabio Capello and he was dropped for the first time since 2007 for the Euro 2012 qualifier against Bulgaria in September. However, the midfielder finished the season very strongly performing in a withdrawn role as Chelsea won the FA Cup and the Champions League. Lampard has won 90 caps for England, scoring 23 goals. Meenzer 15344
Ach well, the gays went to Ukraine for Eurovision in 2005 and came away unscathed (other than those who enjoy that kind of thing ), so I'm sure it'll all be fairly tame this year too.
