I ended up pouring about 120 litres down the sink and sold all the kit.

Anyone see that coming?

Lots of it needs 6-18 months in the bottle Christmas. Pretty sure that advice was offered earlier in the thread.

No, not the kits I was doing.

All required about 2 months to be fully done properly drinkable but even on bottling should be "tang free".

I did discuss it quite a bit on the proper forums at the time but still couldn't find a cause.

I've been trying to go on a brewing course at Sunderland Uni for ages but I'll perhaps go into that a bit later as I'm at graft and I really should be working .

Rather than tipping it all away you could perhaps (in future) hoy it in the back of the garage and hope for the best.

The first brew had nearly 5 months at the end, but the good old timers were basically saying after two months the twang ain't going.

Some of these fellas and the famous CraigTube are knocking back these brews after a couple of weeks!!!

Very disheartening tbh but it's still something I would love to get right at some point. Ideally I'll find and old hand local who can help.
