More money wasted

The transfer window is open and not suprisingly clueless wants to spend more of the clubs i.e OUR money on bringing in new players.

The injury list is beginning to make interesting reading as it is the decent players who are getting injured [ Dire and Craig Who? excepted of couse } while the useless largely bought in by Souness ones who are only interested in thier wagepacket go largely unscathed. Not suprising when they do all they can to avoid anything resembling taking part in the game.

So who are we going to end up with this time?

Incidentally isnt it time the club came clean on just what is the mystery ailment Dire is suffering from, is he likely to play for us again or what?

Simarly with Craig Moore who is less visible than a Mackem supporter.

Whilst I appreciate your concerns, given the lack of quality in the fit players he has and the ridiculous amount of people unavailable, I'd frankly be concerned if we weren't looking to bring new faces in.

The prospects of how shite they may be are of concern though..

asking for MORE money to make good a self inflicted small squad

tell him to bring back Robert, hughes and Bellamy for 5m quid or fuck off would be my answer

seriously Leazes, do you not want the chairman to provide funds to expand the squad?

The size is self-inflicted, agreed but it MUST be increased.

In all seriousness, I think the club has pushed the boat as far as it dares for Souness, to cover up his attitude problems.

No other club would have backed a manager to such a buying and selling spree, at such a huge loss.

So, my answer is no. I don't think the club can afford to back Souness any longer, if he stays in the job he has to get back money he has spent to raise his own cash. Meaning if he wants serious money he will have to get what he paid for either Luque or Boumsong and make sure it is spent well this time.

BTW, bringing back Robert [on loan] and Hughes [1m] is deadly serious, as is Bellamy however I don't think Mark Hughes would be stupid enough to tell his board to sell him for a paltry sum of 4m quid.

But Laurent Robert is a player, by his own admission, who no longer wants to play for Newcastle United. What good would bringing him back do? ;)

As for not giving any money, just forget for a minute who the manager is and tell yourself that this club can move forward without expanding the size of the squad (by definition, what you're saying by selling to buy). It's simply not possible - we need to invest regardless of who the manager is.

Remember that a certain A.Shearer was behind the arrivals of Parker, Owen & Solano - all arguably quality purchases... Who's to say he won't be involved in bringing more decent players in?

it was of course hypothetical - Robert probably thinks Newcastle is a shite club now, since Souness came in, like Bellamy does. If or when that changes, who knows. If it were up to me, for the purposes of strengthening the team/squad for a small amount of money, I would target these 3 transfers, and correct 3 mistakes.

Whether Shearer wants more players in or not, the financial report for the year when it comes out isn't going to make pleasant reading ...

James Milner as well, though I dont think he can be recalled. We know the squad needs improvement, but would you throw more money at it? Is that the answer? Lets say we had £15M so spend, would you give him at now leaving nothing for the summer, or mak him do loans and have the £15M for a new manager (possibly) in the summer?

I'd take Bellmay back tomorrow, not that it's going to happen but Robert and Hughes? Fuck off tbh ;)

I concur. Bellamy I would certainly have back despite his mouth, but Half Arsed and Zico can stay where they are thanks. As for the January transfer window, we NEED a centre forward and a defender, so whether Souness is in charge or not, players need to be brought in imo.
