Both Shepherd and Ashley have produced monumental fuck ups that have been to the detriment of the club. Towards the end of his tenure, Shepherd was not maintaining a team that was capable of being competitive and regularly challenging for European competition. Now Ashley has us sitting comfortably in a European place. We've qualified. Will he set us up so we'll do it consistently? There's very little different financially between how we looked in 2005/2006 and how we're looking now...apart from the debt and the profit... You could sum up the ethos of each regime in 2 signings.
