Lake Bells tits 1
Not the beverage...well that too, but in this case its a documentary on punitive damages and the justice system in general in the USA. An old lady sued over spilling hot coffee on herself in a macdonalds restaurant, I am sure we have all heard that story. Sounds redicilous, and it is, but perhaps for other reasons than you would think.. HIghly recommended, can be found on the bay of pirates... Gemmill 44995
Just watched this this morning. It's pretty sobering stuff. Re the Halliburton girl LBT, I don't know if you've seen what happened when she eventually got her case to court, but it's a pretty scary epilogue to the whole film. Lake Bells tits 1
Yeah she lost that case, which wasnt surprising since a win would have opened the floodgates for everyone with similar experiences down there. Poor girl. Funny how we have all laughed off that old womans coffee-lawsuit, when in reality they were serving lava-temperatured coffee in shite cups to people driving. Those leg burns, jesus christ. All she sued for was to cover her medical bills. Baffeling that people actually vote to limit their rights vs the big companies. Its the only thing keeping them in check and preventing them from cutting corners EVERYWHERE. Edited April 14, 2012 by Lake Bells tits
