Manager of the Season Contendors

Redknapp would have walked it a couple of months ago. Might still in the press award with the Cokney Crew.

On merit it should be Pardew though. He's done an outstanding job.

Would Hughton have done it?

Nope. Fair play to Pardew like, he seems a genuinely talented manager.

When Pards first took over we had West Ham fans coming on here saying he had no plan B etc. He has shown several times he does have a plan B.

It does seem he has patience with some players which does wind us up, but you cannot complain at the table.

Moyes I thought as he has had almost zero cash to spend, however I do take your point.

Moyes has had little to spend the last year or two, but he also has an established Premier League squad which wasn't built with buttons.

He's averaged a spend of £12m a season over his ten years. He got £20m 3 years running while we were getting relegated, and £30m a little before that.

I think their poor start has made their current position look relatively good, but they're basically where they've been the last few years.

Not that I've got any great love for Everton or like to see them do well, but Moyes is worth his weight in glod iyam. Consistent well placed finishes. He doesn't preside over Championship transfer funds by any means but it's about as lean as a 'serious' Prem side can get, and he's continued to get them up there year after year. That's the thing with over performing teams, it's about momentum-somehow he's kept that momentum going over years rather than months. That said their piss poor start to most seasons has to count against him to a degree by now too.

I heard on 5Live a couple of weeks back that Moyes net spend in 10 years at Everton is £15m, so £1.5m a season, mental.

Next Man Ure boss IMO.
