They've been 10-12pts ahead of us for a lot of this year!

Looking at the last 10 games next to the league table on the bbc site we've made up 10 points on them in the last 10 games.

;)

My head says we'll finish 5th as I think Spurs will hit form again.

But my heart is wondering whether I should save up some days holiday for a trip to Milan next season. :nufc:

Must have looked like Bowser winning a race on Mario Kart.

More like a skinhead* Tiger Tim Henman tbh

Some really tough games coming like. Stoke at home I expect to win. But then two tough in form sides away from home. Then Man City. Id love to think we could make top 4 but we need Chelsea to slip up and Spurs poor form continue.

Strangely I think if Man City still have a realistic chance of winning the league then we'll beat them. I think their recent upturn in form is more about the pressure being off than Tevez coming back (although that has obviously helped). I think there's a good chance they'll bottle it again.

we've definitely got one of the toughest run ins so it'll be some feat if we do pull it off. chelsea, man city then everton is a tough way to finish the season.

a conundrum, could do well in europe and suffer the effects in the league or vice versa better in than out

you should build up the team, and the squad by not selling anybody, and compete on all 4 fronts. Europe is no excuse for a club like NUFC to drop down from the league position. If you want to qualify for europe again, its the only way to do it.

I was in the Disney store last week with my 3yo daughter. At one point when she was wearing a hat, sunglases, bag and carrying a huge pluto said "Dad lets buy some stuff".

you shouldn't have told her how much you won at the casino, then you may have got away with keeping it.

10 qualifications in 15 years. Lets see if your man gets close, once in 5 years so far...

Have you looked at the stadium roof etc yet ?

Different point of order, same old bullshit diatribe

So is european qualification an "excuse", or not, for dropping League position ????

LM Why do you jump back to the same old when a fair point is made? You have stated that we should not drop down a position just because we get in to europe. I had a brief look and it Seems :

Play in Champion League: Worse Position [1] Better Pos [1]

Play in UEFA: Worst League Pos next season [4] Same [1] Better [1]

Play in Intertoto only: Improved League Pos [2]

So, if we started the season early (intertoto) but didnt continue in Europe, it improved our position both times. The Champions League was 50/50. UEFA Cup mostly left us in a worse position, usually a fair bit.

Hit me today how bizarre this whole Europe business is.

The media, our manager, our players and us, all make a big deal of getting into Europe and then what do we all do.......

Treat it with the same disdain that Alex Ferguson has for the league cup.

"it will be great for the vuckik's, Fergusons, Albeids etc".

Really, what's the point of the first team busting a gut to get into Europe simply to play reserve football.

It's a tad daft really!
