Tom 14011
There's nothing that separates them from clubs like Wigan, Bolton, Forest, Leeds, Blackburn or Sheffield (s) who it's happened to recently. The only thing I can think of is that the Mackems get smaller crowds than most of those clubs.
Kevin Carr's Gloves 3892
I honestly think if they had stuck with one of their merry go round managers they would have gone down sooner but come back up quicker and in better shape.

Rayvin 5217
If they go down, they're really fucked. Financially, I just don't see how they can sustain it. Would they still be getting parachute payments from the PL? I guess they would. Maybe that would be enough.  Selling NDong surely isn't going to make a lot of difference unless they can get back something close to what they bought him for, since they will still owe money on the guy. Personally would be surprised if they get more than £7-8m.  Kone probably around the same. If Grabban goes they'll replace him of course, but they must be concerned now... ewerk 30598
Aye, they'd be lucky to replace him with a striker who can score half as many goals.
essembeeofsunderland 811
Aye,on loan, but Defoe is injured,so let's hope he's on his way back to Bournemouth, and the sooner the better.

TheGingerQuiff 2412
They might not replace Grabban at all if they didn't anticipate and budget for the litterdome being a third full all season
essembeeofsunderland 811
The hierarchy know exactly how many are attending and how many thousands are paying zilch to witness the shite on display. The makems for the first time are acknowledging their official attendance figures are plucked out of the air and that the majority enter via freebies or concessionary tickets.Hence the anger when at least one post appears before every home game on what the attendance will be. Transfermarkt list Kones fee to Sunderaland as only £5.85m. If that's true then they could net a canny bit cash from him even if they haven't paid all the fee. Can't imagine he'll go for anywhere near the fees that were being talked about for him at the beginning of last season. They'd be doing exceptionally well to get £20m for the pair of them imo. Deduct anything that they haven't already paid off and whatever Short wants and they won't come out with a lot to spend. If they bought well though they might be able to do enough to keep themselves up. Buying well has never been a strength of theirs though. TheGingerQuiff 2412
Nobody is touching Kone with a fucking barge pole, not even on a free transfer. N'Dong I thought would do better down there but hasn't and is therefore worth about £4m

Predicting the bottom club for survival on the basis that Coleman gets a tune out of a striker that's almost certainly leaving this month and that they've already been getting a tune out of and are still bottom, a defender that's older than God and some young players which I'm assuming he thinks are better than complete shite, which they aren't.  It's not ridiculous Ginger Quim, I said if Coleman does things then they should survive. If he doesn't, then they won't.
adios 717
Has the calamitous start Coleman's made not led you to readjust your expectations? Â I thought they were onto a winner with him and punching well above their weight (for the moment) but I'd say they're almost certainly fucked now bar a miracle January.
