CustardSlice 0
What I don't understand is why people think that the Chronicle is direct representation of Newcastle fans I don't think I've seen one Newcastle fan not cringe when seeing that front page. They've even changed 'geordie nation' to 'toon army' because of the the pelters it got I don't understand how they can look at the edit and think "aye that sounds and looks champion print the fucker" to be fair I only buy it on a Thursday for the fishing reports. Â I honestly think writing click bait headlines and "Five Things We've Learned" lowers the standard of discussion. Look at the difference between Simon Bird's stuff before and after the Media Partnership began. Â Papers seem to exist solely to sell advertising space. And obviously with us sending the mags down it made it even better.  Was a very poor season again league position wise mostly , but the sheer effort and push since xmas and especially the last 2 home games to round it off made it feel better , and an achievement.  Obviously plenty of lows and calling the players overpaid wankers etc but , everyone now feels positive again and hopefully BSA is the next manager to hopefully give us a positive season next

Unless you're content with setting up for draws away from home against the poorest teams in the league and having to sit through the worst brand of football your club has ever played. Â That's a bold claim regarding Sunderland mind, they play utter diabolical football every season. It's not like Keane, Di Canio, Poyet, Advocaat etc had them playing good stuff, they're tragic to watch every year to such a point that it's no surprise survival sent them into a frenzy. ewerk 30370
Â You probably dont like the thought , but , Sunderland fans did and are celebrating the achievement of staying up. It's not an achievement though. You're an established PL club. To be celebrating, year after year, the fact that you've survived is ridiculous. If the roles were reversed we still would've been hugely embarrassed by such a diabolical display. I can't understand the positivity behind Fat Sam. He wasn't parachuted in with a handful of games to go. He has been in charge for 30 games and still you're sneaking survival in the second last match. I can't see any reasons for you to be positive. It'll be the same shite for you next season.

Fully agree, I understand the happiness of beating Everton and staying up but it's not an achievement at all. The Allardyce stuff is hilarious, he has had 30 fucking games! and now a good portion of them are saying things like "with a full season big Sam will have us top 10", on what evidence? they were struggling like fuck until they beat Chelsea, they then beat an Everton team that had clearly thrown the towel in. They do it every year, stuck in the bottom 3 until teams start putting their flip flops on and then they manage to pick up a string of good results. Allardyce bought them some players who helped them scrap relegation, and that's about all he'll bring in come summer, the bloke has no fucking clue who to buy if he's given money he can just buy scrappers who'll help graft against the drop. LooneyToony 41
Raffa turned out to be a Jaffa - no goals at Villa was your downfall yet you lot are making him out to be your saviour for next season in the Championship!!!! Â Rafa could only do so much with this lot, our team based on performance all season were even more shit than Sunderland. The fact we drew with Man. City(should have won that one) and @ Liverpool was a miracle. He's stuck with young strikers who lacked composure in the end.

Look at the shite he inherited though. He did much better than I expected possible after the shite we witnessed earlier in the season. If he'd been brought in earlier who knows what would have happened? Â I was amazed rafa took the job and I'll be delighted and very surprised if he hangs around. He has managed the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea, inter Milan et al for a reason - he's a world class manager. Sam thinks he ought to be manager of Real Madrid but it'll never happen. He's an awful manager whose only real skill it seems is setting teams up to survive in premier league.

Im sure BSA will be the same if he fails  People feeling positive tho because we became hard to beat and scored 28 goals since xmas from a relegation position. Decent buys in his only transfer window aswell , and lots of wages freed up with high earners fletcher , johnson ,Graham etc coming off the wage bill now. Hardly the worst football you mags seem to think we played either  Things are looking up rather than down
Rayvin 5186
Aye but Allardyce isn't a manager in the same sense as the others you've mentioned. It's not just us that can't stand the bloke, he had the same issue at West Ham as well - they utterly despised the guy by the end of his tenure. Â Maybe you're right, maybe it'll be different for you lot though. If you're happy with the way he's got the team playing then fair enough I guess.
