Cast your mind back to then. Newcastle were undoubtedly a big draw for most players. But Man Utd were one of the biggest clubs in the world, had just won the double and were managed by arguably the greatest manager of all time. And Keith thinks Shearer choosing Newcastle over them at that time is a good example to demonstrate that Shearer has never been a ‘real fan’ of NUFC?
