Then nonexistent Washington fought on the mags side against then minute Sunderland in an English Civil War battle. One which definitely wasn’t invented by them desperately trying to be relevant. Despite it only appearing in a Wikipedia page with little or no citations plus a badly-researched Guardian article.

The commentators barely even referenced Mitro playing for us other than when they said Shearer was his idol growing up. Fancy getting that wound up by the media not mentioning that a player used to play for an inconsequential club in the championship

Like Henderson*, he fucked off the millisecond he got a better offer. They’re both products of their academy, which is something to be proud of. And you can’t blame either player for looking after themselves. But I really don’t think their respective careers are the ‘win’ mackems seem to think it is. 
*Obviously he’s suffered a backlash for going to Saudi. Not even joining Ajax, who have Sunderland to thank for inventing Total Football, has seen him forgiven
