I find the paranoia in particular fascinating, with reference to HMHM's shadowy cabal posts. A couple of examples. In their Bruce Springsteen thread today, there is the usual stuff about how the Magedia are ignoring the concert today, particularly Look North. Then there is this. Anybody see anything wrong with this signage from Park Lane interchange in Sunderland? I kid you not, there were several posters going apoplectic about it being a deliberate plot from Nexus to spread mag propaganda because it's a white font against a black background. One has pursued it further abusing nexus staff there in person (apparently they called him a sad mackem bastard ) and demanding meetings etc. Now this is just not normal behaviour but is highly amusing. Then of course we are football rivals. The decline in SAFC has been hilarious from our perspective. Unlike them, who celebrate every goal we concede, there is almost never a match thread or posts on here for them, despite them often being on Sky, because at the end of the day they are just a funny distraction. I for one am going to continue enjoying their meltdowns for many years to come. I assumed it was for the person who will take over from the next coach they hound out.

Howmanheyman 33829
Shewally not? A NE based Stoke fan with no axe to grind against either club seeing more MLF shirts than NUFC shirts at the airport? Although he hasn't mentioned it I'm sure there was no fevered discussions with Mags about how they could just walk about with them on and everybody just letting them as that would just be silly.
ewerk 31195
Isn't in obligatory though for Sunderland fans to travel in their shirts and then wear them every single day of their holiday in Benidorm?

Aye, that's the weird thing. That Sunderland fans lay out their travelling outfit the night before a holiday and it's ALWAYS one of their shitty strips. And then they arrive and make a point of exploring the hotel and walking round the pool area in them, so everyone can mark their cards that the bamps have landed.
NJS 4411
As I've mentioned before, I went on Keith Barratt"s plane to Kiev in 2003 which was in September and it was hilarious to see all the MLFs heading on holiday, scrambling to change their shit tops after clocking a few daft lads wandering around the airport.

It's obligatory for them to be louder in the presence of non NE people, exaggerate their accents, trying to come across as sewper pally and over friendly before informing the unfortunate passer by that they're '....from Sunderland' when the unfortunate passer by never asked them where they were from in the first place.

And go berserk when someone asks them if they are from Newcastle despite the accents sounding pretty similar to anyone not from the north east (or at least familiar with both). They’ll go full blown nuts at the notion they are a geordie instead of saying “hahaha na, mate…” which is the appropriate response to something so minor Luckily Newcastle is the famous part of the region so we never have to find out how we’d react to being asked if we’re from sun’lin. However, I think the laugh seems more likely. 1

Apart from that short period when it was ‘Mag-like behaviour’. Which, by pure chance, coincided with them not being able to get hold of them, due to a tinpot operation in Co Durham having the contract for supplying the kits to fans. Renton 21983
They've predictably produced a thread several thousand posts long about us not qualifying for Europe. Apparently we are in meltdown rather than being - in my view - mildly disappointed. And of course the world needs another thread obsessing about county Durham mags and the proportion of Mags/MLFs by postcode, to add to the several hundred others. https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/the-term-geordie-…-they-aren’t-all-skunks.1633940/ Edited May 29 by Renton
