Optimistic Nut 478 Posted yesterday at 06:45 Share Posted yesterday at 06:45 Have they mentioned on RTG that their £12-13 an average ticket could be why they're not making as much as they could? Looked through their thread, must have missed that bit.

There will be national league teams charging more than that for standard home game tickets.

Was £8 in the Northern League last season so that’s probably not far off standard for that level. Especially in the SE

Especially in the SE I was looking at going along to non-league around here but Peterborough Sports (same division as South Shields) want £15 online/£18 on the gate. That's more than actual Peterborough United charge for EFL Trophy games. 😬

To me it’s a bit daft because unless you have a rich backer (and even then, they always get bored, and unless they’re closely involved there’s the very real chance of greed and corruption)then you can’t keep going up and up. Fur someone like Heaton Stan, they’re financially worse off by some margin as a result of their success / promotion. In the Northern League they have loads more local derbies, which means bigger crowds, especially as it allows for Friday night games where you’re not competing against NUFC / PL matches. The away travel costs are substantially less and you might win the FA Vase / get to Wembley. At level 8 you’re in the trophy which there’s no realistic chance of winning. Then there’s ground improvements. But you have to go up now which changed a few years ago. If you don’t, instead of promotion you get relegated from the league you were in that season. The football isn’t even better. The teams are just more physically impressive on the whole
