I can only speak for myself but I love the idea of us being hated by everyone else. It makes it all the sweeter when we batter them.

Clubs are hated because they are good. The more other clubs hate us, the more its a proxy for how far we've come.

I can guarantee that away fans don't hate coming up to Newcastle and having a good time though. Or even coming up to Sunderland, then going to Newcastle to have a good time. Never really felt any resentment or hostility from away fans before or after the match.

"Eyy marra, do you hate the mags n'arll?"

As has been said, I'm trying to imagine a scenario where this would come up in any normal conversation. I can't. Utterly bizarre.

The mackems are stating we referred to Andy Cole in racist terms. I can honestly say I have NEVER heard him referred to in these terms and suspect that even in 93 if somebody had said this they would have been pulled up on it or just outright punched in the face. The fucking brass neck of these fuckers too after the racist riots LESS THAN 6 months ago in their city centre. Cunts.

Anyway, nice to see Brian Griffin is going to spread the message, not for petty football rivalry reasons, no sir. What a bunch of sad mackem bastards they are.

I can remember a couple of articles in the rags using "Wor Blackie" but never heard it at a game or in general usage. I'm sure if they find any such article then that's it, it's gospel.

This has to be a closet mag on a wind up. No way are they comparing a cup final or champions league run to an inconsequential match in the championship - I'm not having it .

What the fuck is he getting at in the bit after the highlights?

The only possible sensible conclusion I can think of is that he’s pointing out how unlikely it is we’ll have crowds as low as 40,000 in the foreseeable future.

Is that player mentioned one of the two future England captains I should be jealous of?

It’s just that I’ve honestly never heard of him.

Anyone got any idea who these two future captains are?  I'd struggle to name two of their players full stop tbh.

It'll be Chris Rigg (NUFC fan btw) and Jobe Bellingham.

From what I've seen of Sunderland this year, its impossible to predict how either would cope with the premier league. GIven how shit Jack Clarke has been, who far outshone these two, its quite a claim.  And the fact is, Lewis Miley is already there.

I'm guessing Rigg and Bellingham - because as we all know from the perfect example of Clarke last year, being reasonable for them in the 2nd division screams superstardom.

You're forgetting the invisible asterix next to all our results and achievements which sigbif)ies "tainted by blood".

Mackem lads at work rave about Rigg - who I believe is still only 17 - but their opinion on Bellingham changes week to week. Seemingly he is the type of player that when he's in the mood he changes games for them but he's just as likely to vanish into a vapour.

I think he's way too slow for the premier league, my impression anyway. I hope Rigg does well as a local lad.

I hope he gets them £10m so that they know that the best player they've ever produced is worth a third of Elliot Anderson.

My mate mentioned on Sunday that he watched a bit of their game against Stoke (unlike most of them) and I think he said Rigg got hauled off at half time.  His opinion of him was too small to make it in the premier league where you have to be exceptionally quick or skilful to make it if you're that size.  And he's neither, whereas Miley is 6ft 2 at 18 and has already bossed the PSG midfield in the Champions League.

This is what always amuses me about the mackems. Despite there literally being massive amounts of evidence pointing to the huge gap in the respective qualities of the leagues, they are just unable to grasp it. Even when they were in League 1 they didn't get it. The premier league is the most elite league in the World by a distance. It's also why none of us are arsed if they do scrape promotion. It would be great watching them get hammered day in day out for a whole year. Or they can stay where they are. It's win win.

I'd like to see them get promoted and then be bought out by some middle eastern consortium of some kind (those tire kickers that were after us before PIF that also couldn't afford Derby would be hilarious) and watch them try and justify their quite clearly racist stance against our owners whilst being owned by people from the same region.

Given who posted this, the highlighted here is off the fucking scale. This is the most bitter obsessed mackem prick ever.

As for their stadium being expanded, there's literally been a thread on their board about it recently that was several thousand posts long. The consensus was "Build it and they will come" even though they don't currently come and there's plenty of space :D

Putting a few levels all round their gaff would create even bigger wind vortexes on the pitch.

They’d likely actually witness* an F1-2 Shitnado.

*obviously not eye-witness, as there’d still be no cunt there, but you know what I mean.
