there's never been a more clueless cunt ever to set foot in a football ground.

I knew a woman who went to SJP in the days of Robson, Platinum club, purely for the social aspect (drink). She only knew two players - Shearer and Given. She once asked me why "they" keep singing "Sore knees". "Erm, you mean Geordies?". She was more clued up than this fucker.

I once had a lass ask me who Arnie Watson was, as the ground was singing

“ Are you watching, sun-derr-land?”

I remember being at the cinema with a lass watching Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, and about 10 mins from the end she leans over and asks "What's a mole?"

Not a mackem though!

tbf a lot of the talk has been the transfer fee would be roughly £5m. Hopefully, he pulls a Miggy and knocks it back.

Nah, he must know Pope is still going to be our No.1 so why knock back the chance to make millions at his age?

Surely if we sign Trafford then Pope will eventually be number 2? So wouldn't it make sense to sell Pope and keep Dubs ?

Of course, we might not sign Trafford.

I guess you’ve got to take these opportunities as a player and a club (from a PSR pov) when they present themselves.

Trafford will be one for the future. Can't see him taking Pope's place any time soon.

Expand

Pope seems to physically break down a few months out of every season though so Trafford would be getting plenty of game time. Unless the Greek fella finally gets a game (which I doubt)

RTG states about 6k sold v stoke and only half of lower bowel is open

Signing Le Fee on loan from Roma with £20m obligation to buy if promoted.

Would be funny if they go up, he's dire, and they're stuck having to pay a big chunk of their budget on him anyway. Did they not learn from that Alvarez from Inter?

This means they are banking on not being promoted. They are definitely going to sell the better Bellingham in this window.

If there's anyone invested in them not getting  promoted, it's the bloke that will be obliged to swap Rome for Sunderland if they do.

Let us all spare a moment to mourn the end of an important footballing friendship that has remained strong within the shadows of their respective much larger rivals for quite some time - following the news that Moyes is likely returning to Everton. I'll never forget the good times they had crying about how shit Newcastle were/are.

I love how they loathe Moyes and love Allardyce despite the former being left an absolute shit sandwich by the latter and having zero chance of getting players in as they were virtually bankrupted and unable to spend through FFP and all because of beating the Mags, marra.
