Howmanheyman 33223
I remember walking past a few of them on the long trek from Seaburn station to Roker Park, we were doing great, they'd just been beaten 6-0 v West Ham the week before on ITV. There was no fear of any Sunderland hardmen, there was no chanting at them or any 'hold me back' from the police escort shite but I vividly remember a fair few of us just pointing and laughing at them. Two fans were leaving their house and got absolutely ridiculed and were just sheepishly smiling back. It was obviously a lucky escape for us that we didn't bump into any of the mackem hardmen and one of the famed rtg MLF v Mag scenarios otherwise we could've been right in the fucking shit.

Craig 6682
One of the blokes at my local is a Millwall fan. Predictably he hates anyone north of the Thames, including Sunderland.
Renton 21627
So the latest on the SMB is there is a conspiracy to reduced metro services to Sunderland over Xmas, because of fire damage to a substation somewhere in there. It's network's rail's decision and responsibility, not Nexus, but perhaps the secret Tyneside cabal are involved somehow. Also several threads about how Sunderland are responsible for winning the WC for England, because of the 2 Jordans, but the Magedia will cover this up. Especially Dawn Thewliss. If I was her, I'd request a restraining order for the whole of Wearside, they're obsession is quite something. Oh, and this is the latest delicacy sold outside the SoL. Considering this is actually what it looks like in a promotional tweet, this takes some doing: Edited December 5, 2022 by Renton
NJS 4386
They do realise that the thing about West Ham winning the world cup sort of works because the three players did actually, you know, play for West Ham at the time?
Howmanheyman 33223
When Beardsley, Waddle and Gazza were doing the business for England in Italia 90 it was a bitter sweet moment knowing they weren't our players any more. Sunderland fans couldn't give a fuck about any technicalities such as the Jordans actually playing for other clubs. 2

Tom 14011
They're now creaming themselves over the - incredibly slim - chance PIF will sell NUFC & buy Man U because of some rubbish conjecture from "The Athletic" Whatever helps them sleep at night
Craig 6682
And of course Exile et al will transfer their vociferous anti-Saudi campaign to Man United, right?
Gemmill 44882
Bloke in the Athletic basically responds to the question "could you see PIF selling Newcastle and buying Man Utd?" with "it's not entirely inconceivable", ie there's a non zero % chance because it's something that is physically possible. It's the same answer I would give if asked whether I can see myself getting piped off by Jennifer Aniston. Neither will be happening.

Tom 14011
I think what people forget is that the purchase of NUFC cost PIF about $1.6bn, that's without any consideration for 18mths of legal fees. It wasn't some drop in the ocean, it was a considerable & long term investment. However the more the mackems get their hopes up the more it's going to hurt so let them
