Mate of mine used to work with a few mackems away from home, said most were decent enough lads with one or two absolute horror shows but a few of them would think fuck all of shoplifting wherever they stayed, like religiously wouldn't pay for stuff. He always wondered if any local gypsies got blamed for their pillaging wherever they grafted?

I’ve got a mate who’s a Sheff Wed fan and obviously he’s kept a keen eye on the league/fixtures etc.

 

He reckons it’s a very realistic possibility the mackems won’t even make the play offs.

The difference is no fans really care and it’s meaningless. They’re just having a laugh after the match and enjoying being owners, no Newcastle fan is going “look at them having a kick about that means we are going to be amazing” they’re installing people to make decisions for them, like Ashworth, whereas the mackem idiots were making all the decisions and doing things that completely mugged them off. Plus as you say, their actions show their worth it’s not been hollow actions. 
 

Literally having huge worries and their owner is wanting to blast out Ibiza tunes at half time for the mackems to enjoy to distract from the shit performances, or having them replace the seats for nowt and dressing it up like some exciting chance to get involved with your club rather than free labor. 
 

They’re just absurd on there tbh. They’ll still be saying Howe is shite despite the fact if you took our form since January across a full season we’d be in the CL . Like fucking hell man it’s incredible “but he spent a fortune” did he? 90m is a fortune nowadays? Manchester United basically spent that on one player and we’d be above them. Plus we got Chris Wood and Dan Burn who they all have called utter shit, trippier who is past it and Bruno who is average, so given how shit all our buys are why does it matter what he spent?

One of the things that stood out for me in the Netflix series was Jack Ross telling them Will Grigg wasn’t worth £2m or whatever they’d bid and them upping the bid to £3m anyway just to sign someone on deadline day. I think it’s the most anyone’s paid for a player in that division. Just reckless stupidity really. If you’ve got no experience at least listen to the bloke you’ve employed to manage the team
