Like fucking hell man it’s incredible “but he spent a fortune” did he? 90m is a fortune nowadays? Manchester United basically spent that on one player and we’d be above them. Plus we got Chris Wood and Dan Burn who they all have called utter shit, trippier who is past it and Bruno who is average, so given how shit all our buys are why does it matter what he spent? One of the things that stood out for me in the Netflix series was Jack Ross telling them Will Grigg wasn’t worth £2m or whatever they’d bid and them upping the bid to £3m anyway just to sign someone on deadline day. I think it’s the most anyone’s paid for a player in that division. Just reckless stupidity really.
