The Fish 10858
If it's true that their owners are having to sell the Academy a well run local rival should be well placed to take advantage.

Sonatine 11393
I'm sure that Shadow Cabal of Tyneside Businessmen could afford to buy it. Could even get the ghost of Jimmy Hill to do the renaming ceremony.

We were returning shit results when the Longstaffs were coming through. There may well be some decent prospects, there may be capable and impressive coaches and other staff. Rayvin 5223
https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/sunderland-will-oppose-a-flat-salary-cap.1522210/ A flat salary cap would be fairly terminal for Sunderland, right? As in, it would effectively mean they can only get promoted through proper management and not just spending past everyone else. The whole "big club" factor is muted considerably. They're a shite club in general, and they absolutely deserve everything they get, but they are also monumentally unlucky It's like the universe wants them to burn.

If this takeover goes through, and the new owners are eager to build a Man City-esque dynasty, the collective meltdown on wearside will be a sight to see. While they're mortgaging the stadium to cover the cost of the experienced League 1 striker's pittance of a wage, we're signing official tractor partnership deals for twice the worth of their club.
