I think they're definitely going down like, they're absolutely shite.

On the lines of this topic who the fuck is that mag in peace bloke that’s on their forum?

What a little kiss arse he is  he put on a recent thread “definitely not going down, comfortably mid table by end of season tbh”. What a dweeb. He’s also completely fucking wrong, there is absolutely no evidence that would back that opinion up. They have 8 points from 12 games, they’d need about 50 points from 34 games to come around mid-table.

Who've they got? Their team is absolutely shit and they've started pinning their hopes on that Watmore lad.

If they don't go down they'll certainly

be in the mix and at no point will they be comfortable.

Theyre the polar opposite of United last season. We had a world class manager, they've got a shit one. We spent, they couldn't. Our fans sold out the ground, their fans haven't bothered showing up.

We went up....

Both on there having pops at toon fans in the same way mackems are, and trying to make non-biased points like “you’s will stay up no bother” that are in reality just arse lickey. What’s their end game? For some mackems on the Internet to think they’re sound for mags? Mint, whatever floats your boat I suppose.

We didn't spend £80m tbh, thats not how money works. We got a lot of money selling premier league talent Sunderland couldn't attract and made a profit after our signings.

Lovely to see them falling to pieces like.

Aye, I think the point has been made a load to them but it just flies over their head. I’m sure some get it but the sheer weight of morons on that forum bury the ones that get it.

I think they all get it, they just clutch onto it because they've got absolutely nothing to throw at us otherwise.

I reckon they'll get shot of Grayson in time for the new manager bounce to keep them up, but the wheels will wobble next season until they switch the manager again. Same formula they followed in the top flight.

I do think they've got enough to stay up this season, there's a lot of shite at the bottom end of that league and Grayson tends to start slowly, apparently.

You think they'll pay the money to get rid of Grayson which would probably eclipse their spend on summer transfers?

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if Grayson accepts a smaller pay off, just to get out of that shitshow.

However if relegation is a genuine concern, they'll panic and bin him off.

That thread about who is a more attractive prospect for a new owner is mental like.

It will take at least 3 seasons for Sunderland to be a midtable club in the top flight. That's 3 years without the Premier League tv money, without the Premier League exposure. They'd need a good manager, a squad overhaul, and for those gambles to pay off. The stadium needs renovation and the club's public image needs a change too. None of that will come cheaply.

Their potential isn't bigger than ours, at best it's the same, depending on the resources and ambitions of a new owner. So how could they be a more attractive proposal?

I don't even think you could say it's at best the same tbh. They just aren't as big a club, which is why they've never been further up the tables.

Same goes for the city. More people than Newcastle but less well known and far less cultural, scenic and historied.

Just now, Kitman said:

I've never heard anyone say anything good about Sunderland as a place. That includes people from Sunderland.

It's often intangibles like "classy club", "proper people", "normal", and more often than not it's a direct comparison to us. "Not as deluded as them", "not arrogant like Geordies".

Actually, speaking of "Geordie" I've seen a few on there complaining when "Geordie" is used as a blanket term for fans of Newcastle. Insisting that although they're born in Newcastle and consider themselves Geordie, they're a Sunderland fan? It's like the "all lives matter" bullshit, for me. Wouldn't they want to be distinct from us? Surely they'd prefer to be called a mackem, a Rokerite, a black cat, than a term that the wider world immediately associates with our football club?

Surely they prefer to associate themselves with that club, those people, rather than their nearest rivals?

Let's be frank: it's a shithole
